Who do you want to play you in the movie biopic of your life? Now who in the world would actually want to do my life in a film or tv?? Seriously??? Bo-ring, lol!!! Hmmm, someone hot, but not snooty and not addicted to anything....uh...drawing a blank here. Suggestions? Anyone?

If you were stranded on a desert island, what two things could you not live without? A working toilet and limitless supply of toilet paper. I don't "hunker down" all that well.

Why did you start your blog? I started my blog to keep in touch with my husband while he was deployed. I'm a really good wife. That's all I wanna say about that.

If you had one day left to live, what would you do with it? I would spend the day with my family and tell them all how much I loved them. I'd also eat my body weight in carbs and chocolate.

What one thing in your life do you wish you could go back and change and why? I would NEVER want to go back and I'd NEVER change a thing. All my screw-ups, mistakes, and wrong turns have made me who and what I am today. And I really like me - just the way I am!!!

What is your biggest dream? My dream was to live in Italy! And I'm doing it!! Of course my vision included having my stuff but perhaps I wasn't specific enough??? Oh and world peace.

What do you want to be remembered as/for? Being a good wife, mother and friend is my lifetime goal. Living up to your potential should be a daily, on-going process. Because you know we can't all be astronauts.

What animal do you feel closely associated to and why? Cats! Anyone who knows me and/or my blog knows that! MEOW!!!

What is your favorite season and why? Spring; it's a big, ole "do over" for the whole world. Everything is fresh and new, and all things are once again possible.

What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas! Our Savior was born!!! His birthday, but we get all the presents. Pretty good deal if you ask me!

I got this super cool bloggy award from Christina! I do so lurve me some awards, and this one is brand new to me - cool beans!! Thank you Christina!! I love Christina so much - she's fun, she's quirky, she's the reason I started stamping (and she's wayyyyyyyyy better than I'll ever be!), she's loyal and she's a kick-a$$ Army wife! And she loves me back, so you know, that's always nice.

Well...for me...why I started blogging isn't as important as why I continue blogging. I blog because it's fun. I blog because I love having a place to share, vent, learn, grow! Feedback is awesome and it's so nice to have someone out there on the internet say, Hey! You're not alone!!! I feel the same way! Or brag about my kiddos. Or share my latest papercrafting goodie. Or recipe! And my bloggy friends? Well, you guys are just the bestest best!!! Some would say online friends aren't "real". But we know that's not true, don't we??? I think about you "regulars" here and know that if it weren't for blogging.....I would never have met you or had you be a part of my life. Yikes!!! UNTHINKABLE!!! Frankly, I don't even remember what it's like NOT to blog and I don't intend to stop - ever! So there!!! No matter how many nutzos, stalkers or trolls come lookin' for a fight, lol!

Well, my Emerald is HERE!!!!

This little beauty from the ocean depths has found her new home, with me in Italy!!! She's currently sitting on my kitchen windowsill, awaiting a special spot on my as yet undelivered new desk. I have been a longtime fan of Regina's work but when I saw this lil number being created, I just knew she was going to be mine!!!!! She's sublime and uber cool!! The imagination and craftsmanship on this sculpture is totally amazing and my lil picture doesn't do it justice, trust me. Random Updates:

** The "truck guy" is on his way to Vicenza, and is supposed to be here today. He was also supposedly on his way last weekend so we could pick it up yesterday. We've heard this for two weeks plus now. I think he needs to invest in a GPS. Just sayin. If God is trying to teach me patience, well...all I can say is EPIC FAIL!!!!

** The lemon honey bread is doin' it's thing in the magic machine, aka my bread maker. It only smells kinda yeasty at the moment, but when I was getting the lemon peel all diced up my whole kitchen smelled of delicous lemons!!!! I'm sure it's going to smell incredible once it starts baking! I wonder if there will be anything left by the time Thomas gets home tonight...??? Anyone wanna take some bets???

** I have all the ingredients to try my hand at French baguettes tomorrow. I just need to find a rolling pin. You use the machine's dough cycle, and then shape the dough and bake it in the oven. If this works out well I'm going to be fat (and happy!) for the rest of my life, lol!! Serious, I'm a carb freak and this is probably not a good idea. Oh. Well.

** I have a really nasty sinus headache right now. Nothing is making it go away either. Don't you hate that????

** Did you know that tomorrow is September 1st? Wow. I just hope it's a MUCH better month than August was. Or July for that matter. (please????)

** I'm going to try my hand at the ColourQ challenge again this week. No clue what I'm going to do yet...but it will give me something to do, right?

What was your favorite back to school item to buy? Ohmygosh - I love school/office supplies still!!!! The smell of a fresh carton of Crayola crayons?? Heaven!!! I have total OCD and the thought of freshly sharpened pencils, with color coordinating erasers, all lined up in a cute pencil box????? *happy sigh* If I had to pick one thing (impossible!!!), it would be finding super cute folders. I always had to have folders and I loved picking them out most.

What was your favorite subject in school? I loved school period!! I was always a good student and got good grades. I think it was the special teachers I had that made any one particular class special. I especially loved music and languages (I took French, Spanish, and Latin in High School). I remember looking at all the beautiful posters in language class and wondering (HOPING!!!) if someday I'd see those beautiful cities for myself one day.....

Did you ride the bus or get a ride from Mom/Carpool? I always rode the bus.

Do you have a sack lunch or cafeteria food? I remember having a Snoopy lunchbox when I was really little but then had cafeteria food. It was always really bad too!!!

What is your favorite memory from your school days? School was a respite for me from a very bad home situation, so I made the most of every second!! I was involved with just about anything I could. I competed in tons of music competitions and my senior year I was our orchestra's Concert Mistress (1st violin chair). That was a really big deal because I got to come out on stage separately, after everyone else was seated, and got to bow to the audience!!!

What is your favorite Michael Jackson song? I don’t like Michael Jackson songs and never did. I always thought he was a few fries short of a happy meal, and after all those child molestation charges surfaced, I had zero respect for him as a human being. All this fuss about him now in the news makes me positively sick to my stomach. He's dead, and frankly I'm glad.

I don't have a question of my own. I'm just gonna sit here and have a pity party for one. Sorry to be a downer. The fact is, although I'm the "Queen of Happiness", I'm really not happy ALL the time. I've been Photo-Tagged!

Sandy from The Adams Family tagged me with a Photo Tag! The rules are as follows: Go to the fourth photo file on my computer and choose the fourth photo. I then get to tag 4 friends to do the same. After I post my pictures I delete my files so the only file I keep is the new recipes for my second cookbook! This is Bacon & Cheddar stuffed Chicken Breast, with pasta and broccoli!

I'm feeling generous today so here is the recipe (single serving):

Bacon & Cheddar Stuffed Chicken Breast

4 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breast
eggbeaters
seasoned bread crumbs
1 Tbsp Oscar Myer bacon bits
2 Tbsp FF cheddar cheese

Take chicken and place between two sheets of plastic wrap. Using a meat tenderizer, beat breast until about 1/4" thickness and even. Take breast and dip lightly in eggbeaters on ONE SIDE ONLY and then into breadcrumbs on the same side, then return to plastic wrap. On the uncoated side, place bacon bits on the narrowest end of breast and then the cheese on top. Tightly roll up breast starting with the filled end first. Place on sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 40 mins.

To complete entree add 1.5 oz. of pasta; add 2 veggies servings to complete dinner meal.

So Cheryl tagged me this time. Apparently there hasn't been enough "evidence" yet provided for a commitment sentencing hearing.........Anywho...more weird shit that makes me special!


1. I have to sleep on the right side of the bed. Period! Unless of course I'm sleeping alone and then the whole bed will do just fine!
2. I check my bank account online at least once a day. I've worked at a bank - and I know how often they fuck shit up!!
3. I will read anything Danielle Steel writes. I don't care that it's not "literature". I will take my cheap thrills anywhere I can get them. Sue me.
4. If we ever win the lottery, I want to buy a mansion in the historic district of Savannah and fix it all up as it was orginally. I will always be the belle of my own ball regardless.
5. I will always buy my daughter Disney Princesses anything (everything). It's for her (and me!). 6. I HATE those stinkin' tags manufacturers put at the back of the neck inside clothes!!!! HATE THEM YA HEAR!!! I always cut them out, or use a seam ripper to remove them. WHY do they put them there, and make them outta the most itchy crap they can find and sew them in with plastic fishing line sometimes???

But first....you may now "oohhh and ahhhh" over my very first ever Award!!! I got it for participating in her Favorite Things Swap. Not sure if my blog is filled with "bloggy goodness" or not but dang it, I love my award!!!

...and yeah, she tagged me too....must have been a bribe(???) LOL!

1. My favorite movie is Gone With The Wind. I'm crazy about Scarlett O'Hara!! When we finally went on our honeymoon this past June, we stayed in "Scarlett's Retreat" (http://www.ballastone.com/savannah-bed-and-breakfast-9.html )

2. I get really bad headaches. I mean REALLY BAD!! The only thing that works is 3 extra strength excedrin, 1 sudafed, 1 motrin and one square of 70% cocoa dark chocolate. No prescription ever works!

3. Let me have a hot, hot bubble bath and a cold, cold glass of wine and I'll forgive you just about anything!

4. I cannot go to bed at night if the kitchen is dirty. I just can't. Waking up to a dirty kitchen would give me fits.

5. I like to get up before anyone else so I can wake up slowly and quietly. I don't like anyone before my morning coffee or tea....anyone!!

6. I love expensive perfumes. I must have expensive taste because they're the only ones that smell good to me, lol! I use it everyday too.

7. I babytalk to my kitty. She "gets" me when no one else does. She also "talks" back to me - it's a Siamese thing. Or maybe just our thing. But I love her!

I got picked!

It would seem that Sandy (http://theadams7.blogspot.com/) has got QUITE the sense of humor!! After having a total, utter flop of a tagging earlier this week, she decided she wanted to see me in yet another train wreck. Sheesh! I guess that's what friends are for???

Here are 7 tidbits about me:

1. I have upstairs in a trunk, enough needlework (x-stich, crewel, needlepoint, etc) kits to open my own craft store. I love to do them but never seem to make the time to do much. Or to finish them if I DO start them. But I still keep buying them - it's an addiction!

2. I love disco music!!! Sorry, but Donna Summer just "speaks" to me. Of course I like alot of other kinds of music too, but disco is probably my fav!

3. I can only wear matching bras and panties. Not for special occasions, but everyday. Otherwise it just seems so....wrong!!

4. I believe that chocolate can fix just about anything!

5. I think grits are GROSS!!! I don't know why Southerners eat them....alot...on purpose! Blech!

6. My husband says I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. He loves me. He's also blind.

7. I'm deathly allergic to dogs.
