My Sunday Blessings

My Alex, re-enlisting with the US Air Force! I'm so proud of her!!! Besides serving her country, she's continuing her college classes and does tons of community service as well. She just a class act! :D

Alex & Nathan in their dress uniforms!

It's been a few weeks, so here are some new photos of my grandson Emmett!

We bought him these two outfits! :D

Friday Catch-All Post

Just a bit of this 'n that, from photos saved on my hard drive!

Bella was once again chosen in her class to participate in the school's Spelling Bee! She'd been practicing for over two months and was so excited!! If you remember last year, she started to misspell a word but corrected herself but they still counted it as wrong. She was so upset and was determined to do better this year.

Poor Bella! She didn't make it past her first word!! *sad face* But...she knows how to spell 'urban' now! Next year, Bella, next year!!!!

Back in November, there was a HUGE rainbow over post. Everyone was coming out of buildings and stopping their cars to take a photo!!! Thomas must have had something on his lens, but this is the best one he got. That's the famous water tower on post that you see in the background.

I was so excited to see bright, blue skies, that I took a photo of it!

The next day, it snowed, lol! It wasn't much more than a dusting and was gone the next day.

I was so happy to have cleaned, that I took a picture to prove it, lol!
Living room looks pretty good, huh?
(STILL need to dust though!)

They say that the third time is the charm, right??? So this is our third attempt to have a furbaby in the house!! Miss Ginger is 7 years old, and her family was moving back to the States and couldn't afford to take her back with them. She doesn't like dogs (me either!) and prefers to not have babies/toddlers around. Perfect! She's HUGE!!!! Like seriously, just the largest cat I've ever had. And I love her!

Ginger likes to look outside, but doesn't rip or pull at my lace curtains.

I was on the computer, and she likes to be close by me.

She was sleeping, all curled up, but the camera woke her!

I snitched these photos of Alex & Nathan off of facebook:
Don't they look great???

They were on a float in a parade of some kind.

Okie dokie, all caught up now!! I'm trying valiantly to muster up the energy to vacuum and set up the Christmas tree. I'm sooooo beyond tired! The wind was howling like a banshee all night long, and it kept me up. I've been up since 4am, and when the snow really started falling I decided to keep Bella home with me today. Mostly because I was too tired/lazy to get us both going & dressed to face that icy wind. I introduced the word "hooky" to her vocabulary too, lol! I promised her a popcorn & movie night too, as Thomas has a formal Army function to go to. Girl Night!!

Life's a BEACH!

This beach is literally across the street from the base Alex lives on!! I love, love, love beaches and the ocean, and I've missed it so much since we lived in Georgia! But with all the things we did, and my extreme exhaustion (jet lag is a nasty B**CH!!), we didn't make it to the beach until the day we left. *sad face* But with a few hours to spare after lunch, and before we had to drive to the airport, we headed out there!
Bella was on a mission to collect shells!

So gorgeous and warm too!

Bird tracks!

With the tide coming in, I TOLD Alex to be careful with Bella to make sure she stayed dry!

Thomas helping with the shell hunt!

Notice anything?? Bella is completely drenched!!! Alex left her side to get a shell, Bella started to lose her balance, and a big wave came in. I saw the whole thing happen, and while she was fine, she was wet up to her neck, lol!! Guess she won't be wearing that outfit to fly in, lol! We had enough time to dry them in the dryer, but had to take them home to wash. Kids!!

Still, how can you be upset with these pretty girls??

When the tide pulls back, it makes a pretty harlequin design in the sand!

Bella was laughing so hard, and it was so infectious!!

Never did make it to get a pedicure, lol....next time!

Happy New Year!

Something beautiful, peaceful and calming to share with you!

I will take more photos this week of the fabulous goodies we bought, and the new stamping goodies from my last order. The catalog is now "live" so I can show them!! It's sure to be a busy week this week, as we all get back into our normal routines. I'm sure Bella would rather stay on vacation than go back to school, lol! And I have lots of projects I want to dive into as well. I'll have the house to myself tomorrow morning!! :D
