In the interest of being nice, neutral and unbiased, I'll say this: As with any business, if you aren't satisfied, you should get your money back if the company cannot provide you with a product you can/will use.

Yikes. I would want my money back. It's not a bad design if you're into princess stuff. (Like say, if you were a 4 year old female blogger). This is DEFINITELY not "sophisticated and elegant". I don't think you are being too harsh in the least. I have zero talent when it comes to graphics/design, but I think even *I* have an idea of what is sophisticated and elegant.
PLEASE tell me you didn't really pay that much! Shoot, I could have done that for you for free! Sorry, but I can't find anything classy or elegant about it! Looks like something that was created by a preschooler!

OMG that is just WRONG! Maybe you should use it for a few days with credit given where credit is due... BOLD LETTERING - site design by_____________. It would serve him/her right.
Whoa! That just plain sucks! I'm sorry you are having to deal with an (insert bad word here) like that. I agree with the others, you should totally get your money back. There is NOTHING sophisticated or elegant about that design.
Btw....I also LOVE how you saved the template as WTF image...Haha!
Read your last post along with this one. That new design is real rip-off, the design you have right now is more elegant than that new one.
What the designer said about not being an artist, I'm sorry but I thought a designer is an artist, if they can't do the art part, why didn't hook up with other artists if they want to design blog? You are right, a 3rd grader can totally create that new design they made for you and it cost $75? Are they flipping crazy?

$75?? Umm, if you don't like it speak up! I hated to do it but my first blogover I did not like what she had done and I wasn't going to say anything, cause I felt bad, but in the end it wasn't what I'd asked for and I spoke up and now I'm happy. You hired a person to do a job for you and you should get revisions if you are NOT happy with it. And I wouldn't be happy with that to be honest!

At first I thought it couldn't really be so bad but having seen it I can see why you were disappointed. I would have been too. Still your new design is gorgeous :)
Oh that's awesome, really I thought you were possibly exaggerating... But WOW that did not disappoint!! I loved your rant I was cracking up. I FINALLY talked myself into a new design (currently waiting) and that was my biggest fear I would get some crap... but I went with April so I know I will love it!
