*deep breath* The Coast is Clear!!

OK, guys, the bug guys just left. And all is well!!!

I didn't sleep that well last night. Big surprise, huh? I'm so exhausted right now, but oh-so-relieved. Here's the deal...

Apparently IT WAS the creepy, dirty family on the end, "D", not the ones in "C" after all. So yay, that puts two units between me and the problem. Sorry, but when it comes to gross-out stuff, I tend to get a bit self-centered!!!!

There are NO BUGS in my home. In fact they complimented me on my home, decor and cleanliness. They also mentioned that "B" & "C" were great as well. So you have three clean, kept up homes and one total dump!

We DO NOT share vents, nor electrical, with any other unit. So there is no way for bugs to come a-callin'!! They checked for cracks, etc - which there were none - because they could come that way, but again they'd have to crawl through "C", and then "B" to get to my house, "A".

So....no worries. However, we do travel, so now I know what to look and check for. And this is "doable" if you don't wait until it's a huge infestation!!!!

And yeah, it's really bad in "D". The guys told me that the place was just filthy. Dirty dishes, clothes, toys, etc everywhere. They have a ferret (which isn't even allowed in housing!!) and a dog that are both in cages that are over-run with urine and feces. They smoke in the home so it reeks and everything has that sticky, yellow tar residue. It's just a mess!!! When the guys showed up to inspect, there were military personnel in uniform there, who stayed after they finished their inspection. I would guess that the female sergeant (husband who stays home is a civilian), is in some pretty deep doo-doo. I hope they just get kicked out and we can get someone CLEAN in there!!!

Ugh! Catastrophe avoided!!! I need some chocolate and a nap....

Sounds like they should bulldoze unit D ...with or without the occupants still in the unit.

Poor dogs... these people shouldn't have pets or children.

How in the world can folks live like that? Yuck!! I feel for the animals..they can't help the mess and if their humans can't take care of them then find someone who can and will. (my pet peep is someone not taking care of their furbabies..Argg)

Ummmmm J....it might be best to take the nap FIRST and then eat the chocolate...just sayin!!! LOL

Hugs sweet gal.

I'm so glad you're wiring and vents don't connect to that den of disgust! I don't understand how people could live that way. Foul.

I hope they do get evicted--sorry! And they could clean, disinfect, and debug that place from top to bottom!
Now you know what to look for when you travel, too.
Whew! Relief! Hope you had two hot chocolates and a nap! ;)
