And please let me just say that:
1. I'm not looking to build a stamping empire. I do not personally sell these products (although you could and make some nice money for yourself in the process!). I will never, ever pressure anyone to buy/sell/recruit. Period. If you're happy; I'm happy. If you aren't having fun, you're doing this wrong!!! You can be a "hobby demo" like me...and never sell anything, to anyone, if you don't choose to! And then you can change your mind again! Only you decide what to do with this opportunity.
2. Don't compare your ability/talent to me or anyone else!! If you are a long time follower of my blog, you'll know my beginning stamping projects were.....well....very sad at best, lol! Seriously, bad!! But they were made with love and, luckily for me, received graciously. The more you do, the better you'll get!
3. Stamping isn't hard!! I remember when I started, I let myself be intimidated by more experienced crafter's and their glorious creations. I thought, "I'll never be able to do something like that...". What a difference almost three years makes! YouTube...it's an invaluable resource, it's free, and you can learn ANYTHING from watching them!!! This is where I learned just about everything!
4. "I'm not creative." ~ Me either!!! But! I am smart enough to copy and/or get great ideas from crafting geniuses!! From the Stampin Up site, to blogs, to YouTube...there's tons of information and ideas out there - for free!
5. I'm sure when I first started stamping, Thomas thought this was just another "hobby of the month" for me. Because I get bored very easily. And after the novelty has worn off, I'm on to the next big thing. Until stamping that is!! If all it was was taking a stamp, inking it up, and using it on a piece of paper (like I thought before I actually DID it!), then yes, I'd never have done it again! But it's so much more!!!! And while I'm discovering new products and new techniques, there are people coming up with MORE new products and MORE new techniques!!!! Yay!!
6. Since signing up myself, I've never bought another card. Ever! The good ones are $4-5+ - that's crazy!! And that's assuming you find one you even like to begin with. What could be more special than making a personalized card for someone you care about? And trust me, they'll love it! No more buying cards, stationary, party favors, decorations....you are limited only by your imagination!
So think about it, OK? This special is only available through October 31st though! You can easily sign up online, and nearly all the products in the starter kit are customizable - so you can get exactly what you want!! This really looks like a wonderful product.
That's a nice start up deal for new demonstrators. Too bad my body can't tolerate working even out of my home. This would have been something I would have loved to do in my healthier days. Nice! And you're right about getting better the more you do it and there being a ton of online videos to demonstrate techniques. Stampin' Up has very good products, too. :):)
I haven't 'stamped' since I retired from teachin'! Funny how life got busier when I retired. It's a runnin' joke here 'round the Ponderosa!!!
