We're mostly saving up for our upcoming trip to PARIS!!! (SQUEAL!), but we have a couple beforehand, and many lined up for afterwards! Here's what's on the books so far:
Sunday, November 6th
Family Fun: Hawk Walk & lunch in the Colli Berici
During the Hawk Walk, you will learn how to handle and fly a hawk (yes, as in the real, live bird!) in the Colli Berici and taste the fresh olive oil from Frantoio over lunch. Trip includes lunch and hawk walk.
Saturday, November 12th
Delicious Italy: Cooking Class in Bologna
Learn how to make tortellini in one of the most well-known regions of Italy for food: Emilia. Trip includes transportation and cooking class. (HELLO??? I'm going to learn how to make fresh Italian pasta....in Italy!!!)
Thursday, November 24th
Thanksgiving in Romeo & Juliet's Castle
Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal inside of Montecchio Maggiore, famed as the castle of Romeo and Juliet. (Four days after returning from Paris...no cooking or shopping - love it!)

Lugano & Chocolate Shopping
Nicknamed the Monte Carlo of Switzerland, shopping in the mountain resort of Lugano during the winter is a fantastic experience. Includes transportation and guided tour of the chocolate factory.

Kids Day in Venice: Guggenheim Museum Tour
Children have the opportunity to create artwork inspired by the works on display in the Guggenhein museum. Includes transportation and museum tour.

Celebrate the New Year in the Capital of Italy, one of the most visited cities in the world with more than 2000 years of history. Includes transportation and lodging. (Fireworks galore!!! Soooo excited about this! Each year a new city - a new tradition!)

Tortellini, Wine & Olive Oil Tasting in Verona

Florence and the Accademia Gallery
Visit the Accademia Galleria, home of "David" by Michelangelo and then explore the beautiful city of Florence.

Visit one of the five smallest independent republics in the world located right here in the heart of Italy. Includes transportation and guided tour. (The views - to die for!)

Siena and Arezzo
Take journey into art, beauty and the picturesque tiny streets of Siena and Arezzo. Includes transportation and guided tour. (Sooooooo gorgeous! Google it!!)

Venice Carnival
Experience the famous Venice Carnival and visit one of the most beautiful cities of the world during the evening. Includes private water taxi. (We'll be wearing our own masks too!!)

Parma and Pavia
Take a trip full of history and culture and enjoy the land of prosciutto, Parma. We will then continue on to explore the city of Pavia.

Torino and the Egyptian Museum
Come tour the Egyptian Museum, the only museum outside of Cairo dedicated to Egyptian art and culture. We will then discover Torino. (Sooooo excited about this one too!! Fabby pics!)
Wednesday, March 7th
Pasticceria Italiana Tour
Visit the company where the famous Christmas cake, Panettone, is produced and sample the sweet Italian tradition. (Another weekday, daytime ADULT trip!!!)
Saturday, March 10th
Italian West Coast Discovery Tour: Cinque Terre
Enjoy free time to explore each of these five picturesque villages by train or hike using the trils which link the 5 towns together. (I'll take the train - thanks, lol!)
Friday, March 16th - 18th
Umbria Overnight Tour
Visit one of the most beautiful and charming regions of central Italy to enjoy a walk in Perugia Spello and other enchanting little medieval towns of this country. (3 days, 2 nights - total beauty and romance!! A little late anniversary present!)

Rome Express

West Coast Discovery Tour: Portofino
Visit the charming fishing village of Portofino, and cruise from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino. Includes transportation and roundtrip ferry. (OMG!! Gorgeous - just gorgeous!)
So that takes us to the end of March! Of course there will be weekend, day trips to Verona again (lots to see and do there!), hometown Vicenza, markets, festivals, etc. Have I mentioned how happy I am to be living in Italy??? *big smile!*

What fun! It looks like you will be seeing all of Italy while you are there.
So much fun!!! I bet the time is going to fly!! I may be coming to Europe next year - my cousin is moving to Prague for a year or so to teach and I want to visit her...and while I'm there I might try to do everything else too! :)
Don't forget your camera and take lots of pics for those of us who lead boring lives--LOL!! ;)

Wow. That's just about all I can say. I'd LOVE to be in Europe around Christmas time!
Sounds like loads of fun; good for you for making the most of those experiences while you have the oppertunity to do so... Then when you move on you'll have no regrets about things you could have done and didn't! :)
