A True Hero

Last night we watched live as SSG Giunta was awarded the Medal of Honor. He is stationed here in Vicenza and my husband has met him. He is as he appears - soft-spoken, and modest. He plans to leave the Army, but his service will never be forgotten! He is a true American hero. Please take a few minutes and watch THIS VIDEO. He tells the story of what happened to his squad and you can't help but be moved by what he has experienced.
Job well done!
Thank you and God bless you!

In the interview I saw with him he said the medal is not for him, he wears it for all that serve. What an amazing guy!

Thank you for sharing this. He so deserves the honor. I think it's wonderful that he states it's worn for all not just him.

I say a prayer every morning and every night that God brings strength and courage to all the men and women in our Armed Forces as well as their families. Thank you!!!

Hugs,
Regi

Always a pity that such stories about bravery come from so much tragedy.

To me, a true hero is one who doesn't think he is and who is so very humbled. He is an amazing man.

I read about him on Wikepedia. I'm convinced that some of our best countrymen are serving us in the armed forces. God bless them!
