My Sunday Blessings

Good morning! I'm trying to be positive anyway, lol!! I'm so tired right now and I can't seem to get a good night's sleep anymore. I hurt my shoulder on Friday and it still isn't better yet. I think I really just need to get this move over and done with already!!!! 65 days.........*squeal*...

****************************************
My stamping studio is a hot mess. My intention was to take these "before" pics and then clean it all up for "after" pics. There are no "after" pics yet....SIGH!! How can I be creative with it looking like this??
I HATE CLUTTER!!!
I still have all these sets to unmount AND my floor is so dirty!!!
------------------------------------------------
I did get a couple of things done:

Photobucket

This was Rachel's Mother's Day card.

This was made for my card group.

***********************************

While cleaning out Bella's backpack, I found this:
It's a litterbug!!
I'm not sure why, but this really tickled me, lol!! Apparently litterbugs have one eye, lots of dried glue and a twisted pipe cleaner on their heads!! Be on the lookout!!!

Recent pictures of The Bella
I gave her braids on Tuesday.
Goofy, like her Daddy!

Bella's Big Surprise!!! Thank you again Lynn!!!

Bella's Field Day ribbon

Remember her field day last week? I wasn't able to go because of allergies, but apparently I didn't miss anything. They didn't have any races or contests. Everyone just "participated". WhatTheHeck???? Grrrrrr!!!!! To avoid anyone being a "loser" (or a winner for that matter!), or getting their poor feelings hurt, they no longer have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons anymore. Everyone just gets a green one. Whoop-di-do!! How are these kids going to learn good sportsmanship, learn how to be a good winners AND good losers if they are never given the opportunity?? When are they going to learn that life isn't a safe, "fair", plastic bubble world??? This just irritates me! Winning field day ribbons used to mean something. It was an achievement!!! Now all you have to do is show up. Way stupid.

*******************************************

I made a really yummy bundt cake.
And yes, I made a WHOLE bundt cake.
I just didn't get it photographed whole, lol!!
I used Betty Crocker's Whipped milk chocolate frosting for the first time. This is reallllly good and not as sweet as regular frosting!

*********************************************

Iggy sent me a picture of a cool license plate!
Thank you Iggy!!!!
....and it certainly is!!!

************************************************

On Friday, the girls and I went to go see Letters to Juliet. Even though the main actress was that girl from that movie, I still wanted to see it. Because it takes place in ITALY!!!! Ohmygosh, great movie, but the scenes of traveling the countryside.....so gorgeous!! And I will be living there sooooo soon!! The girls were jealous and wanted me to just shut up already. *smirk*
I have to say that I have a sympathetic heart. I cry at Hallmark commercials, ok?? Yeah, really, I'm that silly!! Or whatever! So I figured I'd be crying at some point during this movie, and that Rachel would be laughing at me, lol! So I made sure I had a full kleenex packet in my purse. Emilie is like me and when I saw she was losing it too, I was relieved to not be the only one, lol! So I reached for my purse and handed her the kleenex packet. She didn't grab it right away so I turned my head to see if she hadn't seen me. We both looked at the packet at the same time....AND BUSTED OUT LAUGHING!!!! In the dark, I mistook my kleenex for a wrapped pad!!! So we're in the dark, during a non-funny scene and here we are laughing our guts out - HARD!! I could not catch my breath and I swear I have never laughed so hard in my life!!!! We were dying. No one but us knows what's going on, but we're having such fits, that other people are starting to laugh too because we're making such a spectacle of ourselves. With starts and stops we finally, finally manage to get ourselves under control. Then I whisper to Rachel what happened and we all start laughing again. The little old ladies in front of us were not amused. Oh well. These are the kind of nutty things that only happen to me, and happen on a very regular basis. I'm a mess, it's true, but they'll miss me when I'm gone!!! Anyway, the movie was great and I do recommend it very much!!

***********************************************

I got some new awards - yay!

The first two are from
Kel of Between The Lines

This one is from
Dee at Barefoot Bath & Body!

My list of random stuff about me:

1. I love Walmart’s version of Crystal Light ice tea with lemon.

2. I sing “You are my sunshine” to Bella every night.

3. I’m VERY social and love my friends, but must have alone time too.

4. Trust is difficult for me, and if you betray it once, you don’t get a second chance.

5. I still sniff Bella’s head like you would a baby’s.

6. When I have a bad dream, Thomas makes me feel safe.

7. I need to stop comparing myself to others. I’m my own brand of perfect!

8. I’m a worrywart. I worry about everything, and it’s a real drag.

9. I’d rather clean bathrooms than wash windows. For reals.

10. I think I would be a GREAT talk show host!!

As always, if you don't have these, you do now!!

Totally swiped this from Christina's blog!

This soooo reminds me of college - love it!

Enjoy!!!

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and get ready for a fabulous week ahead. May you get plenty of sleep, have no stress, be pain-free and joyous!!! And me too!

Your craft space looks better than mine, lol! Mine is ridiculous, and I hate clutter too! Bella is adorable, and I could not agree more about the whole Field Day situation! Have a wonderful Sunday, Jeannie :D

That litterbug is so cute. I might just have to check out Letters to Juliet.

I did the wrapped pad thing instead of Kleenex. My daughter didn't think it humorous. Hey, it was an honest mistake. (Glad to know I'm not as stupid as my daughter thinks.) She needs to get a better sense of humor and get rid of her husband--oops!--did I just say that? I love the litterbug and I love your list at the end. Thanks for making me smile. Oh, and I AM so jealous of Italy!

I loved the "litterbug".

The little pouch that Lynn made for Bella is cute. She did a great job with it. The pot holders she made for you are very nice. :)

I agree with you about the field day, the movie sounds great, and you gave me a good laugh with the "kleenex" story. LOL

My son was in a college fraterity choir, and they used to do things like that video. So fun. (they also used to sing in different churches on Sundays in that town)

I hope your shoulder feels better soon so you can get some sleep. Have a great week.

I love your craft space! I especially love all the stuff you have in it!!!!!

Bella's little wrinkled up nose was the cutest!! She's a doll.

Loved your randomness. You are the best!

Love the beautiful cards!

I totally agree that kids are better prepared for life if they have a chance to win and lose.

Only in America can you get something for nothing. I guess kids are taught this very young.

I noticed at my daughter's dance competition that the awards for each individual dance were gold, high gold, and platinum. So, even if you had a gold points total you could feel good because it was gold, and that sounds good, right? Although, they later went out and picked dances in first, second, third places in so many categories. So maybe that counts for something?

OMG Jeannie I just loved the video and tell Bella she gets a kiss blowed right back at her and you both are so welcome I loved it I was laughing and smiling she is just too precious.

I just love your work room wow all kinds of goodies there, you should see my lil closet I been putting my yarn in talk about a disaster lol

That is a bummer about the field day and no ribbons, one day at a bookstore I used to work at this lady literally cussed me because her son didn't win an award for some games we had there on some kind of game day we had there I just had to walk away told my manager I was done helping with that lol

I hope you have a fabulous week and I hope your shoulder starts feeling better real soon, hugsss

Field day has turned into political correctness gone bad. They better have winners at our school's field day this year. I always win at three legged race.

You call that clutter? I'd like you to see my inlaws place.

I showd my husband your card and he was amazed by your talent. I am glad the movie was good. It looks fun in the ads.

Loved the post. I felt like I experienced every bit of this with you. Thanks for the review of Letters. I want to see it. I went to see Last Song with Frank a few weeks ago...and cried when the dad died of cancer...hummm imagine that. Yesterday was Senior Recognition at church....and as I do every single year....cried when they did their special memory video. Griefus! I hope you have a great week! Hugs!

Been having trouble sleeping here too. What's up with that!

Have a wonderful week Jeannie. And I cannot wait until you start sharing Italy with us. Will be taking notes for when we finially travel that direction.
