Friday Fragments

Catching up on some bloggy bidness...

The lovely Mira tagged me with this:
Where do I want to be in 10 years?

Rules are simple:

1. Post where you want to be in 10 years

2. Pass it on to 10 of your bloggy friends!

Let's see...gazing into my crystal ball...ten years from now....

In ten years I want to still be living in Italy. By now I'm quite fluent in Italian and am comfortable conversing with all the lovely shop owners and restaurateurs in town. I will have learned how to make the most incredible Italian dishes and truly become the Hostess with the Mostess!!! The Bella will have blossomed into a gorgeous almost 16 year old and will want to date all the incredible Italian men - NOT HAPPENIN'! (Oh this thought is gonna freak Thomas out, lol!) Thomas either will have or will be about to retire from the Army. Of course he's going to get a GS position doing the same work for gobs more money, and allow us to stay in our villa. (LOL!) Of course we have traveled all over europe and northern africa and have tons of stamps in our passports. Life is great!!!!

Jealous much??? OK, your turn!!

The one and only Kristina has organized the most incredible charity drive! Snuggies for Seniors!!! Now many of you know how she usually mocks these blankets with sleeves, but it turns out that people in wheelchairs actually love them and are a huge benefit! PLEASE help out by visiting her blog HERE, and either donate Snuggies and/or help financially!!! They are starting with a Veteran's Center, so you know this is something near and dear to this Army wife!! Thank you for your support!!!

  • Each Superior Scribbler must display The Award on his/her blog, and link to This Post, which explains The Award.
  • Each Blogger who wins The Superior Scribbler Award must visit This Post and leave a comment (since Mr. Linky's no longer working). That way, we'll be able to keep up-to-date on everyone who receives this prestigious honor!

I cannot wait until you start blogging about your real life in Italy. Your fantasy is pretty wonderful.

No time to play along today... heading out for some play time of my own!

Jeannie, thank you so much for blogging about this. Old people will love you!

I think you need to take a Snuggie to Italy. They are very stylish.

Well, I hope when you've finally "arrived" in Italy after 10 years and are the talk of the continent, you will still remember us "little people" and speak English to us once in awhile.

Love the blog!

Awww, thanks for the award!! :)

You deserve both of the ones you got!

Your ten year plan sounds really good to me! I see myself unemployed, on welfare, and possibly homeless and being forced to speak spanish... but if I am, it will be some place warm!

Italy sounds good.
Me, if I thought much about 10 yrs from now I would have to think about how old I will be, that's a bummer! Have a great weekend!

mmmmmm.....Italy. How fabulous! I'm hoping to be in a retirement home. What? They take people at 47 right?!

Hey, question, my sister has a TON of stampin' up stuff that she no longer uses. Do you have a recommendation of how she can sell some of it? Or donate some of it? Or a little of both?

That could be the BEST splicing of videos that I have EVER seen! That was pureawesome. And now I'm ready to tackle this burrito!!

Thank you for my beautiful award. It was the first one I received and every time I get it, it reaffirms in me that what I write is not crap. Like I'm not butchering the English language, just because I used a lot of periods and ill-placed parenthesis. I mean, it comes from an English teacher herself...so if I get it, I must be doing SOMETHING right, right? I also appreciate the rules listing bc/ it wasn't until recently that I realized there was a way to register for it. I read it on her blog and was all pouty because I hadn't known to do that before. Anyhoot...thank you for my beautiful award. I plan on doing a ceremony next week. And thank you for the heads up on Snuggies for Seniors. I think that's merely Einsteinesque and I will be checking it out more thoroughly.

And in 10 years I see you owning a very large floppy hat and learning to cook in Tuscany. And maybe mastering cappucino art. Yes?

Another blogger recently did a post on where she thinks she'll be in 10 years. It's pretty interesting to think about.

I have no idea.

I hope by then that I've gone to Greece. My oldest THREE children will be 18 or older. Crazy. Only two kids at home.

Maybe our yard will finally be landscaped.

And I better have started to exercize REGULARLY by before 10 years from now. :)
