This card is less "embellished" than I normally make, but I didn't want to take anything away from the image - which I love!! I used pencils and chalk to color it in. I used a red glitter gel pen for the bough berries. The sled has crystal effects to make it that shiny, red sled color. I used the brand new Polar Ice Flower Soft for the little tree. It looks just like real snow!!! I used dazzling diamonds for the rest of the snow because I didn't want to lose any dimension or the footsteps. I think it turned out really well!
The polar ice is very different than regular flower soft. It reminds me more of shredded styrofoam, than sponges like regular colors. It separates more finely and more easily, which makes it a dream to work with! And it has glitter added!!!
Off to make more cards now...

Wow, I miss lots of occasions to send cards, and thats just not taking 5 minutes to pick one up. YOU actually make them! Beautiful.
Wow. Now I feel really bad...They are so special. Bet the recipients keep them forever! I would.
How cool!
I've actually gotten some of these cards - and sent them to their recipients with my note on a post-it since I couldn't bring myself to "spoil" them.
I know they are treasured by their "owners".
OOO this is a great card!
Wow. What an amazing card. We sell some cute cards on our site, but homemade cards are awesome. Great blog post!
