Bella goes to Kindergarten!

All dressed and ready to go!
Waiting on the porch for the bus that didn't come.
Just before Daddy drove her to school. She WOULD NOT just stand still for a nice picture, lol. She was beyond excited and talking a mile a minute. My neck and shoulder hurt so badly (two nights in a row, no sleep, ugh!!), that I didn't get emotional like I thought I would. Thomas did though. He stayed with her while she had breakfast and then walked her to her class. Bella told him to go because she had to do schoolwork now - no fear at all!! And he got a little choked up. He straightened out the busing mess and then called me. Our little girl is growing up!!!

That's great! I hope that Felicia goes without any fear, despite my worries! I'm nervous!

I hope your neck quits hurting and you feel better soon.

Wow school starts early!

I remember when my oldest, Tessa, started kindergarten - we drove up to school and she hopped out of the car and told me she didn't need me to come inside with her. But I did of course - for me, not her...

Bella is just precious and so grown up!

Kindergarten? Oh my gosh she IS going up! And so independent. I made my mom go with me my first day of kindergarten!

Oh happy (and a little sad) day! It's so exciting to see them grow up, but bittersweet at the same time.

My daughter starts kindergarten on Wednesday. Why is it such a big deal? I can't answer that, but I'm crying about it right now.

Man, I'm going to be a mess when she REALLY gets on the bus.

I remember Nicoles first day of Kindergarten - it seems so long ago and very hard to believe she will be in 5th grade starting on the 17th!
Hope Bella had a great time!

How precious she looks. I love that fresh faced dewey look Kindergarteners have...on that very first day. My first day of teaching was Kat's first day of Kindergarten...I walked her to her class (on the left side of the school building)...before going to my new room (on the right side of the school building)...and she stopped me at the door and asked me if I didn't have somewhere to be? I walked the longest mile hallway to my room...with tears rolling down my face. My next door neighbor teacher saw me and asked if this was my child's first day at school....I guess we all go there at some time in our lives. Tell Bella to enjoy her year.

It's hard to see them grow up! I remember when my oldest was ready to go to kindergarten. I had just had our 3rd child, and I was more than ready to let him go (I know that sounds terrible, but 3 kids under the age of 5 was overwhelming at the time ;) Now he is going to be a high school senior this year, and I get teary-eyed thinking about it!

Sending your child off to the first day of kindergarten has to be one of the hardest days of your life. It was for me, anyway.

I hope Bella has a great year in kindergarten.

That is a big day. I'm always so excited for my kids because I know it is a big moment for them that I haven't been emotional in the sad way yet. Who knows how I'll feel when it is my last one? But I think it really is a big step for the kids. I can be happy for Bella's enthusiasm. Let's hope that she keeps it until she graduates from college!!! :)
