De-Stress Thursday

I would really like to learn how to de-stress now. I USED to just "go out for a smoke" and that worked like a charm. But now I'm a grateful non-smoker and I don't have a clue! I realllly miss smoking. I was one of those people who enjoyed it immensely. But smelling rotten and the health risks weren't worth it. I have a feeling I'm going to be needing some sure-fire, non-smoking, non-drinking, non-drug taking methods really soon too....so whatcha got for me???

I know a lot of people turn to exercise. Or overeating. Good choices.

Exercise - hands down. Then you can eat those cupcakes guilt free.

I recommend exercise - walking and Yoga/Pilates! It works for me!! Or STAMPING!!! Nice, calming stress relief!

I guess destressing is different for everyone and depending on the situation. I read about the possible deployment. That would stress me out a lot. Personally. Does crying help? Maybe exercise? Maybe losing yourself in a project?

Hi Jeannie,
I used to take a long walk. That is hard now since I am waiting for my 2nd surgery on my foot. But it really helps. Even a 30 minute walk will help you calm down. Also call a friend to vent. Wishing you smiles and not stress.
Hugs,
Kathy
