In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first. The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Now....don't you feel blessed??? I'm also blessed with the world's most patient and generous husband!! He's rolling with this new "stamping thing" quite well and even played a bit with me last night. I made a pretty cool card last night but I can't show it off because the recipient needs to get it first!! OH!! Maya Angelou is a wise woman. I really liked her thoughts on how you can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle rainy days, tangled Christmas lights, and lost luggage. I bet it is true!

She is one of my all-time favorite authors. She never ceases to amaze with her wit & wisdom.
What a great post for "Sunday Blessings". She is such an amazing person. I cried when I saw her interview on the Early Show (CBS). It is an interview about Obama, but whichever side of the political circus you relate to, you should check it out. It is filled with words of joy for everyone.

Maya Angelou is a very wise, thoughtful, and well-spoken woman. I've seen that before, but there are so many positive things to keep in mind, that I don't mind reading it many times over.
