Even if you aren't a crafter, I think you will enjoy this video!!! When I watched it the first time I thought, "This simply cannot be this easy!" Followed by, "I've got to try this!" This stamp set is an older one of Lawn Fawn's, but they just came out with the matching dies, and I had received both just last week. Perfect timing!!! So on Sunday evening, I heat embossed the flowers and leaves on water color paper in white embossing powder just as it was shown in the video. I don't have very many of the Distress Ink pads, but I have all the colors in their markers. So I just scribbled some color on an acrylic block, spritzed it with a water mister and tried it out. So stinkin' easy!!! And the results were so gorgeous! After water coloring a couple of flowers, I called Thomas upstairs to see. He was "wow'd" by the ones I had already done, and I told him to watch while I did another one. It took maybe 1 minute (?) to do another one and he couldn't believe it. He said it was like magic, and it was!!! So I finished the flowers and leaves I had heat embossed, and set them aside to dry.
Then I stamped the same stamp set on regular paper (the kind I use for pencil coloring) with black ink. I basically just filled an entire 8 1/2 x 11" sheet with flowers, leaves and butterflies. Then I grabbed my pencils, Gamsol and paper blending stumps and went downstairs to watch the football game with Thomas. I was so tired and my feet were throbbing, but it doesn't take much effort to color. Just kicked up my legs and set a lap tray up and I colored away, while Thomas screamed at the TV, lol! I think I did about 6 flowers that night, and did the rest the following day (yesterday). Then after dinner I die cut them all out and took a photograph.
There's a garden on my desk!

You can see the difference between pencil and water coloring.
Flowers look darker with the flash...
...than they do without the flash.
This is more the true shade of the images.
I figure I have enough images for six new cards! It's been so much fun coloring all of these!!! Stay tuned for the finished project!

Rub some of your talent off on me, please!
Absolutely brilliant - such lovely colours. Look forward to seeing them on cards soon.
She really did make it look so easy! t\The watercolor paper makes all the difference because it plays so well with water medium, of course. So glad you had a good time with your feet up. ;) These are all really pretty. Will make great cards.
Super gorgeous, Jeannie!
Yeah, that video looks so easy! NOT! Since the speed of the video is faster than normal, how long would you say that took her? And, she's probably been making cards for a while, so of course it looks easier than it would be for a novice. Cute card though.
I like the colors of the garden on the desk. :)
