Friday Catch-All Post

Just a bit of this 'n that, from photos saved on my hard drive!

Bella was once again chosen in her class to participate in the school's Spelling Bee! She'd been practicing for over two months and was so excited!! If you remember last year, she started to misspell a word but corrected herself but they still counted it as wrong. She was so upset and was determined to do better this year.

Poor Bella! She didn't make it past her first word!! *sad face* But...she knows how to spell 'urban' now! Next year, Bella, next year!!!!

Back in November, there was a HUGE rainbow over post. Everyone was coming out of buildings and stopping their cars to take a photo!!! Thomas must have had something on his lens, but this is the best one he got. That's the famous water tower on post that you see in the background.

I was so excited to see bright, blue skies, that I took a photo of it!

The next day, it snowed, lol! It wasn't much more than a dusting and was gone the next day.

I was so happy to have cleaned, that I took a picture to prove it, lol!
Living room looks pretty good, huh?
(STILL need to dust though!)

They say that the third time is the charm, right??? So this is our third attempt to have a furbaby in the house!! Miss Ginger is 7 years old, and her family was moving back to the States and couldn't afford to take her back with them. She doesn't like dogs (me either!) and prefers to not have babies/toddlers around. Perfect! She's HUGE!!!! Like seriously, just the largest cat I've ever had. And I love her!

Ginger likes to look outside, but doesn't rip or pull at my lace curtains.

I was on the computer, and she likes to be close by me.

She was sleeping, all curled up, but the camera woke her!

I snitched these photos of Alex & Nathan off of facebook:
Don't they look great???

They were on a float in a parade of some kind.

Okie dokie, all caught up now!! I'm trying valiantly to muster up the energy to vacuum and set up the Christmas tree. I'm sooooo beyond tired! The wind was howling like a banshee all night long, and it kept me up. I've been up since 4am, and when the snow really started falling I decided to keep Bella home with me today. Mostly because I was too tired/lazy to get us both going & dressed to face that icy wind. I introduced the word "hooky" to her vocabulary too, lol! I promised her a popcorn & movie night too, as Thomas has a formal Army function to go to. Girl Night!!

Yes the living room does look nice. Love your cat. He is almost the size of our Bailey! Bella should be honored to have been chosen again for the spelling bee. I remember when I was a little girl that I was almost always chosen - and that was over 50 years ago! Sadly, I never won. Love rainbows. Great pictures of Alex and Nathan. I'll be checking out your other posts but probably won't stop to comment. I've been such a bad blog buddy lately - I have a lot of catching up to do!

Ay kouldn't speel write fer beans.

It is so nice seeing people tying to spell properly (I'm tired of the Internet /"technical toys" bastardization of the language).

That is a very bright rainbow!
What happened to your other two cats? I must have missed something! Ginger sounds a lot like Karma, but Karma's bigger I think.
Sorry for Bella getting a word she didn't know right off the bat. :( Better luck next year. Does she thumb through the dictionary?
Have a great weekend. :)

So sorry Bella didn't move on in the spelling bee, but there's always next year!

Ginger is a pretty nice looking cat. Looks friendly, too. Hope things work out for you.

Would you come and clean my place for me? ;)

Great picture of Alex and Nathan. Very thankful for their service to our country.

Hooky, huh? LOL

Ginger is pretty! I know how Bella feels...I made it to the county spelling be a couple of times, but didn't make it past the 1st or 2nd round...I was just too nervous!
