LOL Caturday!

Happy Caturday!

I actually got some sleep last night! Which is good because I really haven't had much since I got sick a week ago. Still making tons of crud in my head and chest, still coughing, but it's sloooooowwwwwly improving. I haven't crafted in nearly two weeks! I haven't really done any major housework in even longer!!! So I will attempt to do some of both this weekend, without (hopefully) overdoing it. We got more snow (blech!) last night. Doesn't matter, really as I'm not going out anyway, but I'm sick of looking at it. It's not even pretty to me anymore! I truly had forgotten how long and bleak German winters are!!!

So...I will be making up Bella's Valentines this weekend. No real plan for them yet, but it will be something cute, of course. I also am planning on doing a special project for her "holder". No plain, brown paper bag for her - OH NO!!!! Her no-sense-of-fun-or-humor teacher originally said "no" to Valentines but other parents had an uproar and she relented. Give me a break! These kids are 7-8!!! Let them have some FUN! Let them be KIDS!!!! Tired of the crabby old ladies that seem to have taken over the DODDs schools!!!! They barely even let them have recess and then it's only 15-20 minutes long.  I'm not in a hurry to get back to the States but I do miss the better schools. Poor Bella is already hating school!

Time to get busy! Otherwise the day will be gone and I'll have nothing to show for it. We'll see how far I manage to get, lol!! Have a great weekend, everyone!

I don't know that the schools here are any better! No recess - no arts - no music - uncaring educational system! Bleh!

I am glad you are sleeping at last. There is nothing worse I feel than lack of sleep.
That is excellent news that the teacher relented, imagine no Valentines, shame, shame, shame.
Never mind the ho*****rk, just get crafting!

Loved the Caturday pics, especially that first one. :)

I'm glad you slept better. Hoping you feel better and better each day until you are back to normal again. (do you have a normal?) *winks and ducks at the same time*

Kids need to be kids. If things keep being taken away from them, we'll have nothing but juvenile delinquents on our hands. It's time our educators and politicians (the ones who keep cutting our public school budgets) realize that. :\

Hope you had a good day. Have a good tomorrow. *hugs*

We just can't let kids be kids anymore, can we? The 4th grade classes at one of my schools didn't have a Christmas "celebration". Technically they have to be called celebrations instead of "parties", because they're only allowed 1 party/year, and that's Valentine's. Craziness. Guess someone is afraid that someone will be offended. Good. Grief.
