What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday (WOYWW) 189

Wow, another week has passed! Another week with ZERO crafting - ugh!!!! This whole non-sleeping thing is really being a drag. Add to it sinus headaches, bad knee throbbing and late night can't-sleep-so-I-might-as-well-eat-carbs thing is making me a hot mess!! Maybe if I'm super, duper productive I can trick my body into sleep???? But finding the energy and motivation...that's the problem, lol!

My desk this morning:
I did manage to put nearly everything away that you saw last week. I've got to put my new Maggies (from the Christmas collection, which arrived so late they didn't get used!) in my binder, but I decided to make a Magnolia only binder. I got this 8x8 binder for next to nothing from the Stampin Up clearance rack, and a bunch of refill sheets too! So far I've cut enough paper sheets to get started and will be inking up my new Maggies first, then going back and inking up the rest. I will separate them by holiday/season/backgrounds, etc. Hopefully this will keep me from making duplicate purchases and they will get used more!!!! And I can eliminate them from the original stamp binder!! (Really need to go through it and get rid of older stamps I know I'll never use again, but oy!, what a chore that will be!)

Clearance rack special!!

Thank you so much for popping by! If you'd like a sneak peek into other crafter's rooms, check out Julia's blog Stamping Ground! And then join in!!! Happy Crafting!

So sorry to hear you're struggling with health and sleep - horrid. But a clear desk is a start, and getting the practical sorting stuff done while you wait for Mr Mojo to return is a great way to use the time... Do hope you feel better soon. Happy WOYWW!

Jim's out of town, so my 'craft cave' has seen some love, haha. I love the idea of using a binder like that for stamps. . .makes perfect sense. I'm sorry you aren't sleeping well or feeling well, Jeannie. . .I'm thinking about you! (BTW going to CHA together someday sounds divine!)

Hope you get back in the groove soon! I know what you mean about ordering duplicates. I ordered a duplicate on my second order! What a ditz. I need to catalog my stamps in a binder like you do. Jim has one book shelf made - just needs to be painted and is working on the other one. For some reason he is as excited about this project as I am!

What a great way to catalog your rubber stamps. I do a similar thing with my embossing folders/masks and dies.

Hope you are on the road to feeling better and more sleep....sleep is one of those things that seems so essential, but is so often taken for granted until of course we can't do it. Sending good thoughts your way.
Storing clear stamps is just a pain. I'm curious how your binder works out. I've tried that in the past, only to have all the stamps slide to the bottom of the page protector which seems less that ideal.
Best wishes for a good week!

Argh Jeannie, lack of sleep is the worst for me. And being in the mood to eat carbs is awful..just blows you up and makes you more tired. Ugh. Hope you can pull it round to y our normal routine very soon. Admiring your good intentions over the shaping up of your stamp collection..and even more, admiring the bargain binder..perfect for a range of cute stamps, huh!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I considered a Kindle Fire but plumped for the iPad because my StepD has one and we can FaceTime - she and family live at the other end of the country.
Sorry you haven't felt well and hope the headaches have gone and you are ready for crafting.

Hey Gal! Your desk looks like my bed! We are staying in a 28 foot travel trailer from December til March. I have no place to spread out except the middle of my queen size bed, so I have my laptop, 2 Bibles, a couple of Devotional books and my Bible Encyclopedia LOL! Needless to say, it a major deal to get ready for bed every night.

God Bless,
PJ

Have you seen a doc about this sleeplessness? Sometimes I have issues but yours sound a little more severe. Hope you find a resolution on it.
