What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 188

It's that time again! Time to have a nosy at other people's craft desks, get ideas, be inspired, or just have a good time surfing the internet, lol! If you don't know what I'm talking about, be sure to check out Julia's blog Stamping Ground and see what's what. And join in!!!

Julia asks that we post a photo of our desks, whatever state it may be in, and to keep it short. Every week I mean to do that....and usually fail miserably, lol!
My desk this morning!

Not too bad, right? These are all the lovely new stamp sets I got in just before we left on vacation to Florida! Now I need to put them in my stamp binder, before I can play! And yes, this stack will start with #489!!! That's just the ones in DVD cases. I kinda, sorta love stamps. A LOT!!!!!

My stamp binder!
So big, I need a fluffy, Italian hen to sit on it to keep it closed!! (LOL! Not really but she just got put there in a rush!)

So I was going to leave it at that, call it good, and actually follow the rules for a change. But....then I figured my nosy regulars would want to know what I picked up in Florida, that I hadn't posted yet....so....
Michael's Haul!
Considering how large the store is, I think I did quite well!!! The mini popsicle sticks were something I was actually looking for! PERFECT for a technique I've wanted to do since Italy, but hadn't yet. Soon! The rest? Just had to have stuff. I know you crafters understand this!!!

Hobby Lobby Haul!
Seriously the bestest best store ever!!!! And this one where Alex lives is gigantic! Still, I used restraint! And since I know you will all be clicking to enlarge the photo, I'll help you out...

Styrofoam eggs and pins - something on my list to find! I have the coolest project to use these for!!

Also on my buying list, were these melt-in-the-oven kits to do with Bella! So cute!!

Removable tape - score!!! Better than post-it notes for holding down framelits!!

These weren't on my list. But I had to have them and they were half off!!

Zebra stripes!

Cheetah print!

PINK!

SPARKLY!!!!!

I have no clue why I bought these, lol! But...I just know they will come in handy!!!! Eventually...

Itsy-bitsy and teeny-tiny googly eyes!! For....catepillars?? We shall see...

Shells and star fish. What can I say? We were in Florida and they were cheap!

Gorgeous. One word reason!

Yes, more feathers! And no, I haven't used any that I got in England, yet!, but I had to have these too!!!

A sentiment stamp set from PTI and hexagon dies from My Favorite Stamps! These were waiting in the mail for me when we got back.

So manageable right? I start putting things away, thinking that things were under control....when I noticed a large box under my table.
This box!

Oh crap! More stuff that I had ordered while I was busy making Christmas cards and gifts, and didn't have time to use or put away!!!! This is going to take forever!!!!! We'll have to see what the status is of my room next week, lol! Short and sweet? No. Sorry, Julia!!!

Ha ha Jeannie, loved your post this week! I am moving to NYC next month and as a crafter I am most excited by the prospect of being able to shop in Michaels and Hobby Lobby all the time and not just went I am on holiday. I also really really want those dienamics hexagons, so I am most envious. Good luck putting away the new stash and playing with it. Cx

Loving your review but it makes me so miss Michael's. We have at least 4 of them in easy distance from my parents house (plus 2 or 3 scrapbooking stores and maybe 3 or 4 more craft stores) and every time we go home for a visit I get carried away :) Have fun creating with your haul!

LOL. Absolutely LOVE all the retail therapy. Sometimes more fun than seeing a messy desk.

I have that same HUGE bag of shells. I needed 3 tiny shells for a project and all I could find was that bag. I am set for life!! LOL

I am new to WOYWW and friends with Sandee. Hope you have a chance to check out my blog and desk.

We don't have Hobby Lobby or Michael's in the UK which is just as well, I guess, or I would be bankrupt......thanks for your visit earlier. Hugs, Anne x #47

That was one good shopping spree! What a great time you will have trying it all out. I love the animal pattern gem stones. I am green with envy really. We don't have any shops like that anywhere in Spain as far as I know, and certainly not in my bit of it. So I have to rely on the internet which is nothing like so much fun. Kate x #57

I just love your desk so much! :) I've said that before, though...but I also agree with you on Hobby Lobby...*BEST* store in the world, right?! And considering how big it is and how much they have and what great sales they run I think you did a very admirable job at restraining yourself. I rarely do so well myself! Those dienamics dies are super fab, I've been on a bit of a hexagon kick myself and would love to have those! :) Anyways, thanks for stopping by my desk already and leaving me an encouraging and hilarious comment, sorry I'm running so late with my returning visit...can't wait to see some fab stuff made with your new stamps and stuff. :) Deeyll #142
