World Card Making Day! Bloghop

Today is World Card Making Day!!! You didn't know??? Well it is! And you have a full 24 hours to get your crafting on, and share it with the world. This year, I've linked up with an incredible organization, Operation Write Home! They collect hand made cards to distribute to our deployed troops!!!! It's a huge morale boost for them to be able to send quality cards back home to loved ones. Would you like to know more? Just click on the above graphic for a direct link. YOU can make a difference!!!!!

For this bloghop, we were asked to pick an OWH sketch of our choice and make a card using it. We were also asked to make it a Christmas or winter theme. The sketch I chose:

My card for this hop:
Closeup of the tree

Recipe:
Stamps:  Evergreen, Mixed Medley
Paper: Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Festival of Prints DSP, speckled vellum
Ink: Black Stazon, Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler brads, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, mini glue dots, dimensionals, 3/4" circle punch, 1 1/4" scalloped circle punch

To see the hundreds of amazing cards made for this hop, click on the Blog Hop link at the top of this post! Crafters from around the world are linking up in support of our service men and women!!! If you didn't get a chance to participate in the hop, but would still like to contribute hand made cards, please read all the great info and directions on the Operation Write Home website!

Great card! The combination of the pattern on the background paper and the brads in the corners of the tree panel remind me of a french memo-board.
