Well, we're almost finished with our Italian Adventure....and will be movin' on to the next chapter, our German Life, early tomorrow morning. Thomas has been frocked, and has cleared the unit. We finally DID get our travel money (fancy that! *eye roll*), and cleared housing without really even having the house inspected. (Makes me wonder why I bother to kill myself clearing these places when they never take the time to admire my handiwork!!) All these months of prep work, list-making, stress...and then in the end, everything goes by so quickly. Weird.
The things that were great in Italy were really great. The things that weren't as described in the "brochure", were pretty awful. But we've survived it all, intact as a family, and leave here with the confidence that we can handle whatever comes next. Hopefully what comes next is an easy, uneventful trip to Graf, a short hotel stay, quickly signing for our house and the equally quick arrival of our household goods!!! That's not too much to ask for, is it??? Didn't we earn some cosmic, Karma points after our last move?? (please!?!?)
So it's off we go...over the Alps, and into the Bavarian region of Germany!!! I will, of course, keep you posted! All prayers and well wishes gratefully accepted!
I'll have to take a photo of the Escape packed to the gills tomorrow!! We're FULL UP, lol! Ciao, Italia!!!!

And then when you get there, the work begins again...Enjoy your road trip there...
Have a safe trip! So exciting!
Have a safe trip to Germany. I enjoyed your visits and photos from around Italy, but I bet there are lots more photo ops waiting for you in Germany. :)
God speed.
Housing kills me on that. And your house was probably cleaner then most. Best Wishes and Prayers for smooth sailing, Quick housing , and even quicker delivery of household goods.
Good luck on the trip up to Germany. Travel safe.
Sorry I missed you yesterday...
Have a safe and fun trip and looking forward to sharing your adventures in Germany.
Saving pennies now for our first (of many) trips to see you x
How exciting!!! The time has finally come. You have my prayers for sure!

(How exciting!)
It really has been so fun to be able to read your posts of Italy and all the adventures you have had.
I look forward to your Germany experiences. What an awesome and trying life sometimes. You seem to take it all in stride.
We'll be praying for you!
*pssst* I hear you have safely arrived in Germany. Excellent news! :)
*hugs*
Have a safe trip!! Pictures! Take lots of pictures! :)
You bother because it makes you feel good to know you did. Plus, if you didn't you can be sure that would be the time they'd actually do the inspection!
Good luck getting settled in to your new home!
Be careful and have fun on your adventure to Germany. Germany is somewhere I have never been and would love to see someday. Frank lived there when he was younger...his dad was stationed there.
Bavarian? As in cream filled donut? Yes please. :)
Safe travels.
