June Pen Pal Swap

This month we had to make a Father's Day card - naturally! I got a chance to use one of my more new(-ish) stamps, and some newer goodies - fun!!

My swap card:
Recipe:
Stamps: Packed For Dad, Delightful Dozen (inside sentiment)
Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Apothocary framelits, Old Olive ribbon, Old Olive button, linen thread, square lattice embossing folder, top note die, clear embossing powder, mini glue dots

To give the central image a bit more 'pop', I wanted to have it clear embossed. All you have to do is ink up your stamp first in Versamark, then your colored ink. Quickly add clear embossing powder (it won't be as juicy as just Versamark alone!), and heat set. Just be sure to clean off your stamp before repeating! You don't want to get colored ink on your Versamark pad! I didn't have 11 matching buttons, so some got Crumb Cake buttons, and some Old Olive. I hope the girls will like this card!!!

Nice! I think it's harder to do cards for men. Turned out really well. :)

Cool card. I just finished making an anniversary card for hubby (40 years!) and birthday cards for son and son-in-law. Cards for men are so much more difficult than cards for women.

I have one versamark pad that has quite the brown tint because I forgot to clean my stamp first. So now I have a clear one and the not so clear one. The not so clear one actually gives some cool effects when I use it. Love clear embossing powder! It adds so much to a project.
