Bella's Class Singing & Signing!
Bella's class was asked to sing on post yesterday! They had a mini Junior Olympics for both American and Italian children with special needs. Bella's teacher Ms. Downey knows sign language, and has been teaching the kids this awesome skill all year long.

I think it's great that she's teaching them to sign; I hope they don't lose the skill as they grow up.

I have to tell ya, I got a hoot outta the football players in the background.
I happen to sign. I just knew someday I'd get a deaf child in my Special Ed. class and I wouldn't be able to communicate so I took a class on signin'.

I'm not a child of the 80s, but I've loved that song since it first came out. The kids did a great job. So cool the teacher shared her signing skill with them.
