Sea Life at Gardaland (Verona, Italy)

We had talked about visiting this aquarium for months, and we finally just decided to GO! I knew that 9/11 was going to be tough on me, so rather than sit around watching the programs on TV (and most likely bawling my eyes out in the process!), I thought it would be better to get out of the house and have some family time! As it turned out, it was also the day before my last extraction too, so good timing before I was back in Pain City!!!
Luckily for us, Cat and her kids were up for a travel adventure and they came along too! It's always more fun when you do things with friends!! I simply cannot believe I forgot my camera!!!! What a goof! Of course Cat had hers, so thanks to her we have photos of our trip! THANKS CAT!!!
Bella and Natalie had sooo much fun!
Big, cheesy smile!
Cutie butts, lol!
They had tons of displays of jellyfish. I had no idea there were so many different varieties! The lights would change, making them look different colors. With the soft classical music in the background, it was so peaceful and relaxing!
The bright, vibrant colors were intoxicating!
Bella made lots of "nose prints", lol!!
This tunnel was so amazing! Sharks overhead!!!
Of course Thomas noticed this sign!
A diver - how cool!!
SUNKEN TREASURE!
(Bella asked if she could have some!)
Sea lions
Where did they go???
We found Nemo! (and dozens of his friends, lol!)
Seeing some sea life, up close and personal!
Baby starfish
Bella wasn't so sure about the touching part.
Bella called this her mermaid bubble!
Nope, she doesn't look happy at all!
Sea horses!! I loved these best!
The stingrays were amazing too.
No pics I guess, but we could see them swimming and they are FAST! Their bellies are so white and cool looking too.
Gift shop lollies! I offered to buy one for Bella but she didn't want one - weird, huh?? I got her a cool pen though and a fridge magnet. I want to have a european fridge magnet collection!!!
The prettiest mermaid showed up to do free body art!
Natalie's turn
Bella got a pink starfish...
...and Natalie got a blue seahorse.
So pretty and sparkly!!!
Everyone except me and Bella had "pirate lunches". I think they were supposed to be octopus hotdogs or something. Bella had cheese pizza (OMG! Love Italian pizza!!!), and I had a grilled chicken salad. After we ate, we all drove home and had a relaxing afternoon! It was so fun to share this experience with Cat and the kids!!!

Next trip....Milan! We leave on the bus tour early tomorrow morning. And I WILL remember my own camera this time!!!

These are great pictures. Your friend, Cat, must have a pretty nice camera. Aquarium pics are usually hard to get, but these are fantastic. Looks like everyone had a great time. I am so envious. ;) I love aquariums. Wish we had one close by.

I love aquariums. They are one of my favorite places to visit. I never get tired of the jelly fish and the "nemo" fish. Loved the Mermaid, too!
