OMG!!! I'm havin' the bestest day EVER!!!!!

Seriously!!!!!

The bestest day ever!

(happy, happy, joy, joy!!!)

OK, well right up there with the day we found out that we were moving to Italy. Yeah, that good! And if you don't believe me, you can ask Cassy. I'm sure she's STILL laughing at me, lol!

OK, so...

I was reallllllly, realllllly bummed out that I wasn't able to go to the Stampin Up Convention this past weekend in Utah. It just looks like so much fun and everyone brags about all the cool stuff they saw, and all the free product they got, and all the "insider info" they heard,...blah, blah, blah. Not really blah, blah, blah....I was just jealous, lol!!! And they already had a highlights video up on YouTube, which I watched about a gazillion times. But then I noticed something on the YouTube sidebar. Something about a European Convention.......wait....WHAT??? Has someone been holding out on Queenie Jeannie?? Is there a conspiracy afoot???

So you bet your sweet clear-mounted stamp sets I called Demo Support just as soon as they were opened this morning!! I spoke to Danielle and asked about this European Convention thing and where to send my registration, lol! She was still pretty tired after the utter craziness of the weekend, and she said she would forward my info on to the Events people. I told her to give me a gold star, highlight my name, whatever it took but to get me on the list!!!! Failure is not an option!!!!!

Hurumph! I just knew something was going on. Without me!!

About 15 minutes later my phone rang. It was a woman from Stampin Up - didn't catch her name but DID hear Events something-or-other.

Me: Oh!!! Say YES! Say I can go! Say yes!!!!!

Woman: Uh well...

Me: SAY YES! YES, YES, YES, YES!! Say yes!

Woman: (Starting to laugh)...I

Me: NO! Not laugh, say yessssssssssssssssss!!!!

Woman: (Laughing harder, and no doubt putting me on speaker phone): YES!!

Me: (unintelligible screaming, squealing, laughing, jumping up and down)

Woman: Hello?

Me: Oh! Right! Great! Thank you so much!! Now wait! I said yes, but where am I going??

Woman: Well, that's the best part, Jeannie! Our European Convention will be held this November in...........

Hint #1

Hint #2

Hint #3

That's right!

I'm going to PARIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Woman: I can tell you are pretty excited!

Me: Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much! I'm so excited! I can't breathe! I'm so exited!!! Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!!!!

Woman: (Laughing harder) So, we're all trying to catch our breath after Convention this past weekend, so give me a couple of days to email you the registration information.

Me: So I shouldn't bug you, right?

Woman: That would be great. (She snickered here, I swear!) Give me till the middle of next week at the latest.

Me: But it could be tomorrow, but don't bug you till next week?

Woman: That's right. (Definite snicker here)

Small talk, laughing, general hysteria after that. Buh-bye! She did say that I made her day though, by my excitement!!!

So. Moi. In Paris. To stamp!!!!! Does it even get any better than that?? NO!!!! I will be taking Thomas and Bella too. We'll go early and stay after, and make a real vacation out of it. Paris in mid-November = HEAVEN!! Not too hot, not too cold, just the gorgeous city of light, sparkling just for us! I'll be able to host Monday's Monet Moment with real Monets!!!!! SQUEALING!!!!!!!

AND

I got the larger, second half of my new catalog goodies in today!

AND

The holiday mini was available to view online today!!

AND

I already have an Exel spreadsheet done of what I want to order!
(But then I'm done!)

Today was just....STAMPTASTIC!!!!!

That lady on the phone must have thought you'd sniffed too many stamping pads or something. I'm happy for you, I really am. Stay calm. November is a long way away.

Wow! You are definitely excited. And rightfully so! Not only are you going to Paris but you are going to do something you love. It doesn't get much better than that.

I know you will have a great time!

I personally think you should show just a bit more enthusiasm for going to such a great city, with Thomas and Bella, and you have the honor of attending an SU convention. I mean, it's the LEAST you could do, show a little excitement.

Jeannie, this is so very exciting! Paris! I am so happy for you and for your family. Persistence pays. Glad you persisted in getting you a spot at the convention. I love your cards in the post below. They look like they have just the right touch for the soldier.

It is weird because I was in Paris yesterday (we are in France on a 2 week house swap from Ireland) and I am excited cos I am going to US on a trade mission from Ireland to Atlanta with my jewelery and I am managing to also attend the blogging SITS conference in Atlanta too :)

PS lots of Paris photos on my blog today :)

Yikes! Now all of us who did make it to Salt Lake City for convention will be green with envy and waiting on every click of your blogging keyboard to share the wonder of Paris and Stampin'Up's invasion of same.

Congratulations on scoring a once in a lifetime trip! I'm thinking you will be living with call forwarding until you hear from Events...hope its sooner than next week for the sake of the families sanity (well yours of course too - LOL!).

Wow PARIS!!!! Are you kidding me? I can't wait to see all your pictures and hear about your wonderful experience at Convention. But until then, breathe. Lol. And have fun playing with your new toys.
Is your list ridiculously long for the Holiday Mini like mine?
Congratulations on such an amazingly wonderful day!

Jeannie, thanks for your comments on my blog. I was hoping to go to the European convention but I am now unable to go (I am really sad about that) but I am glad you are going and will look forward to hearing all about it from you. Its a LOT smaller than US versions and this year will be the third one but its still awesome and I am sorry I won't be able to go.

Hi Jeannie - I too found your blog via ILWS. You will love Paris and all the Monets! No doubt you have heard of the Musee Marmottan Monet which has lots of Monets - including Impression Sunrise, the painting that gave rise to the name of the Impressionist movement. I am going to EU Convention too - my first time so am really excited! Nicole x
