Monday's Monet Moment

Happy Monday Everyone!
Make it a GREAT week!

**********************************************

Speaking of great weeks, this morning was the first time in months I woke up pain free!!! There's still a bit of swelling and my jaw is terribly sore, but I woke up without pain and didn't immediately reach for the motrin!! My ear did start throbbing (the old icepick in the eardrum feeling) two hours after I got up, so I needed it then, BUT to wake up feeling good was such a boost! Especially since yesterday I was in pain all day long!

We had a ferocious storm last night. Rain and wind and hail! Oh my!!! It was soooo loud and I don't think I've ever heard wind "howl" like that before. We have had some serious storms since we've been here, and our gazebo has always weathered them just fine - our house and side wall protect our backyard. But the wind was coming from a slightly different direction and it's a tangled mess now and unsalvagable. So after I pick up around the house a bit, I'll go out back and take it all apart, and Thomas can lug it to the dumpsters. It's really too brutally hot to sit outside without one, so we will have to buy a new one next weekend. I'm really bummed too as this one was very well made and heavy, and I think they are only selling the lightweight, wimpy ones now. We shall see... At least being lazy paid off this time, in that I hadn't taken out my new, pretty flowers to the front yard that I bought...so they are still in one piece!

Pictures and videos coming up later!! Stay tuned.......

Hi Jeannie, so glad you woke up pain-free today. Do you think the icepick-in-the-ear pain is tooth, jaw, or ear problem? I sometimes have that kind of pain. I have TMJ and haven't been a good girl. I haven't worn my specially-made-for-me mouth appliance for a year and a half. Anyway, I hope that pain is very soon just a bad nightmare of the past and you are in pain no longer.
So sorry about the gazebo. That must have really been some storm! Scary!

Hooray for no pain! But, bummer about the gazebo. That must have been quite a storm. You've had such an awful time of it. Hope you continue to feeling beter every day.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Those teeth have been giving you quite a time of it.

Sorry to hear about your gazebo. Good luck in finding one that will be fairly sturdy. Yay on the flowers. :)

I choose painting number 5 today. :)

So glad you are getting some relief from the pain! Sounds like there are bad storms all over the place. Chicago got another doozy this morning. Torrential downpours and ferocious winds, breaking tree limbs all over the place, 400,000 people without power. Hopefully you'll be able to replace your gazebo soon.

Lovely Monet's as always. Good to hear you are feeling pain free at last but sorry to hear about the Gazebo. No storms here, just glorious heat and sun!
