Do-Nothing-Sunday!

You might have noticed that I haven't been blogging much lately. There's a good reason for that...I've been planning for, and cleaning the entire house for, Thomas' surprise 40th birthday party, which we had yesterday! Here are some pics...Huge thanks to Cat for taking all of these for me!!!
Sign for the front yard

Another huge thanks to Cassy & Brandon for doing nearly all the decorating!! I couldn't have done it without you and you did a fantastic job!!!

Waiting for Thomas to arrive

Cat's son Brian - he was so good all afternoon!

Thomas arrives and is SO surprised!

Seeing the custom banner I had made

Opening presents

I made him open his pimp hat, shades and necklace first, lol!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Old-fashioned candy from Cassy & Brandon

Gag presents from the $1 aisle

I think he actually liked the fishing game!

And I KNOW he liked the candy!!!

Big box of golf balls (to help his OLD game!)

Wii Nerf gun game - I thought this looked pretty cool!

And for the big present...

...while Bella looks on longingly...

He got a new DSi...

...and three games...

...and a case with attachments. Bella was soooo excited, and then sooooo bummed. Excited because she's wanted a DSi for like forever, and then bummed when she realized it was for Daddy and not her, lol!

Birthday Haul!

Custom banner I had made, with his face painting photo I took from Bella's school carnival.

I made hot dogs, hamburgers, ribs, chicken wings, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, veggies & dip, chips & salsa, doritos and pretzels, with soda and wine to drink.

I made devil's food cupcakes too.

His necklace turned his neck blue - oops!

Bella & Trinity eating cupcakes

Trinity & Ben

Such a cutie!!

So that's where I've been and that's what I've been doing! It takes a lot of work to plan a party, especially when you have to keep everything a secret, lol! And that's why today is basically going to be a do-nothing day because I'm one tired mouse!! But it was a huge success and I have a sparkling clean & organized house!!! Yay!

Well it looks like it was a success! Love the glasses! My 40th is in August. My husband is planning a backyard barbeque but knew he would be dead if he surprised me, lol!

Now go and relax, you deserve it!

There's nothing like a party to motivate the end of procrastination and a clean house.

That looks like a fun time.
I can't believe you were able to keep something that huge quiet. I would have been busted.

Good for you!
Glad you were able to get a rest.

Happy Birthday, Thomas!!! OK I was a little late on that one, but better late than never...or something, right? ;=D The decorations are fantastic and all of the food laid out is making me all drooly. Also, I'm a fool for the Dora the Explorer wrapping paper. Well played!
