This year's Valentines

These are the Valentine's I made for Bella's class.

And this is the card I made for her teacher.

Funny true story: Bella brings her lunch to school. Originally I bought her CapriSun for her drinks, but she found it too hard to get the straw in and usually either spilled it all over the place or didn't bother drinking it. So I thought those little juice boxes would be better. Last week we let her pick out which flavor she wanted and it's worked out well. Normally I keep them on top of the refrigerator as she prefers them room temperature. For some reason when I was cleaning out her lunchbox yesterday afternoon, I put a juicebox in the refrigerator. I probably meant to put something else in there....but absentmindedly grabbed the wrong thing, lol! Who knows?

So anyway, after dinner Bella put her cup in the refrigerator. Then she comes up to me and asks, "Why is there a hick in the refrigerator???"

Hick? What??

So I said, "What are you talking about?"

She said, "You know, a HICK?? My juicebox for lunches??" Like duh, Mom!

I thought I was going to just die!!!!! Not "hick", but Hi-C! But to Bella, that's what it said and that's how she read it! Isn't that adorable?? Kids!

I so want to be Bella's teacher so I can get adorable cards from your desk. You just threw a big middle finger to the Target valentines aisle and I LOVE IT!! Those are SO cute!

Oh Bella...sweet, well reading Bella. It's really lovely to see the word through a child's eyes isn't it? I would have never thought about that. But she makes an excellent point and please tell her that EVERY TIME I see Hi-C from here on, it will be "hick" to me!

Hilarious! Kids are wonderful.

Beautiful cards. I'll bet those kids never got such pretty valentines - and definitely the teachers haven't! Way to go!

Bella is so cute! Love all your cards. I don't think I thanked you for my last one, I am so sorry. You know that I love getting your cards, they always make me smile and I display them in my craft room. Life has been so crazy. I am trying to get back in to blog world : ) Matthew's wife is moving to Hawaii next week to get a job and set up a home for them. So when he gets home from Iraq in June, she will be there. I'm so happy for them. But dang I miss him.
Big hugs,
Kathy

Lol @ 'hic'. It reminds me of my boy Jeff who thought pint (p-eye-nt) was pronounded "pint."

Does that make any sense?

Anyway, Bella is precious.
