....SERIOUSLY!!
Poor Bella. It's not enough that she has a crabby old witch for a teacher that can't stand her and finds fault with everything she does, and is sitting there all day doing Kindergarten work, but now she also has to endure being terrorized by a truly mean girl too!
I'M JUST SO OVER THIS ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the second day of school this "Erica" brat told Bella she hated her and wasn't her friend. You should have seen the totally crushed and devastated look on Bella's face. Bella loves everyone!!! I was about to say something but her mother immediately chastised her and made her apologize. She then apologized to me and said that her daughter was a mean girl and always had been and that they were working on it.
Well she needs to work on it some more!! Because now Erica has upgraded her meanness by not only verbally terrorizing my daughter, but also now thinks it's ok to literally push her around! She was pushing Bella today at recess and while Bella was trying to get away from her, she got pushed to the ground, hitting her head on the cement hard enough that she had to go to the school nurse! Thomas got the call and then called me. I was livid!!!
I talked to the teacher and she gave me the whole "I wasn't there and so I don't know what really happened" spiel. Well guess what? Bella was the one in the nurse's office!!! Oh, and Erica can do no wrong and is the teacher's pet. Fabulous. She said she listened to both sides of the story, but then gave me a look and looked down at Bella, as if, well, if something bad happened it must be her fault!
Bella isn't perfect - I got it. But if I were to spend all day in a classroom with a teacher that hated me, and sat 6 inches from a kid that lived to make me feel like shit and I was duplicating the work of the past two YEARS, I just might have a bit of trouble "focusing" myself!!! The teacher said she'd move Erica but Bella needed to stay at the small table because she isn't capable of doing her work with a larger group of kids. It took every ounce of inner strength I had not to pop her in the face. In hindsight, it might have almost been worth it to get that crappy look off her face.
The very next incident and I'm done. And I'm not going to jump through a bunch of hoops, or deal with meetings, or go to any committee. They are either going to put my daughter in a class where the teacher is capable of teaching in a caring, loving, respectful manner or I'm pulling her from school entirely and filing a formal complaint against the school. I am NOT the home-schooling type of Mom at all, but I'll be DAMNED if I'm going to let anyone treat my daughter this way!!!
Mrs. F - this is your final warning!!! (bitch!)

Oh, I'm so sorry, Jeannie. I hope this gets resolved soon.
What??? What in the world is their problem???? I am so sorry to hear about this, Jeannie! God bless you for your patience, I think I would've said something very nasty to her...
Hope things get resovled SOON!
Bulling also happens with teachers. I get sick of the I don't see it spiel as well. And then they don't want to hear it when a kid tells something bad is happening. What the hell is with some teachers today?
Oh my gosh, this is just horrible Jeannie. What is wrong with people????? UGH.
Please know that I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and hope it gets fixed soon.
I'm sorry to hear Bella has to deal with both a bad teacher and a kid who is a bully. Kids can be cruel sometimes. I hope the pushing stops, because I wouldn't want to see Bella hurt like that. Will pray for a peaceful solution. *hugs*
Ugh. I thought schools were very anti-bullying now? I hope they step in and do something about this soon!
She is too young to have to deal with this kind of crap! Emily had some issues last year and it is hard being the mom and watch it happen. I am with you girl...is there any private schools over there? Good luck girl!
SOME PEOPLE JUST PLAIN SUCK! I hope this all gets resolved soon!
Start making imprompt visits to her class. Bring the Pricipal a couple of times when you do the visits or even the school superintendent. Visit recess...take pictures.
OR just go in and DEMAND your child is moved to another class.
Also, report the teacher NOW.
I had this happen to my youngest, I tried for a month to "make things work". On one of my "surprise stop ins" I was pushed over the edge, when I could not find him...I asked the teacher where he was at...Oh, it is disturbing to the class when he has to leave for reading so where was he? BEHIND A BOOKSHELF by himself!!!at a table...his school supplies were in a box next to him. I gathered his stuff and took him by the hand went to the school office and asked for his file, they told me I could not take it..."It was the schools confidental file" I told them that it was a file about MY child, NOT the schools and that they could give it to me now, or to the police and my attorney later...
yea, I left with it. I asked them to remove him from the school's records because he was not coming back.
I homeschooled him for the next 6 years. Homeschooling is not easy (if done correctly) It takes lots of time and work. But, it worked for him.
When he was in 8th grade I had him go to the Jr. High for Math, and then the 1st semester of 9th grade he did Math and Science. He asked if he could go full time and so his 2nd semester he started back to full time public school.
There are some great homeschool programs. I would recomment Saxton Math and ABEKA for the other classes.
Plan to spend a few hundred dollars, but it was worth every penny to have my son not being bullied by a teacher.
Best of Luck...no child needs to be afraid of a place and a person that we tell them is safe.
Have you talked to the girls mom again?
I would have a meeting with all parents, the teacher, the principal and any other school officials that you could get to attend.
No one should have to endure that and no one should get away with bullying.
Oh my word I have a kindergardener this year too and I am shocked at the drama that already exists at such a young age including a bully already on the kindergarden play ground. Who the Hell are these kids and what kind of adult raises them?
How terrible, I hope things get better for her!
this breaks my heart...poor Bella.
I just can't STAND this!
That's really too bad. Is it wrong of me to hope that something happens so that you have a reason to change her class?
My heart goes out to little Bella and of course you. I know what its like to deal with mean people in school. When I was in elementary school I had to beg the principal watch me walk to the bus because of threats. I sure hope this doesn't carry on too long for Bella and everything works itself out with the kids. I just love how the mother told you her daughter was mean *eyes rolling here* lol
Oh Jack had a third grade teacher that hated him. I almost pulled him out myself!
xoxo
I bet Thomas either has, or has access to a wide range of "suitable devices" to use to straighten things out with..
I bet Thomas would actually enjoy reviewing each of their merits with you too...
there's nothing more dangerous than a mother protecting her young! i hope things improve for you jeanie :)
