This, that and the other...

A little catch up on things...
Alex left early Friday morning. My head hurt so badly from a sinus headache that I didn't cry. But I was crying on the inside!!! It had been 1 1/2 years since I had seen her and I missed my first baby so much!!! She was such an incredible help with Bella, driving us all around, supportive, and our comic relief - thank you so much Alex!!!!!! She also helped me build the gazebo and patio set, and built our new grill and glider by herself. It seems so quiet around here now!!!
You can see our bare house in these pics too, as well as the Army furniture we have on loan. It's not that bad to look at but it's realllly uncomfortable. But it's beats the floor!!!
Alex brought down her xbox stuff, and wound up buying a Wii set down here. It was soooo much fun playing with her and Bella got some new Wii games too. Our hold baggage had our complete Wii collection, plus a DVD player and movies, (you know the stuff that was supposed to be here NLT July 28th??), and isn't going to be delivered until August 27th. Yes, yet another delay and more lies.........for another time and another post. Bottom line, we have new Wii games and no Wii console. UPDATE: Another neighbor and unit member of Thomas' loaned us her Wii and remotes. Thank you Carmen!! I guess we won't be stuck watching AFN this weekend after all!!!!

******************************

I finally got to use my new gelato set I picked up on market day last week! I have six different colored dishes, with matching gelato spoons. This is Hello Kitty strawberry gelato that we picked up at Emisfero. It was my last trip out with Alex! Notice that Bella's Polly Pocket gear is NEVER too far away, lol!!

The kids had been playing a while and I thought, I have to get this on film, lol!!!

Well at least you might be able to see her more often now that you are both on the same continent - but it is so hard to say goodbye to the kids!

I'm glad Alex was there to help you with so many things, and I'm sorry she had to leave. I hope you get to see her more often now.

Your place looks nice. It will look even nicer when you get your own things.

It looked like the kids were having a lot of fun playing Simon Says. Cute video. :)

I can empathise with you as I miss my girls as well, but it is fabulous when you do get to spend quality time with them isn't it. :)

I can't believe it's been so long since you've seen Alex. It will be great to be close to her.

I adore the gelato set!

There was no bottom pic or video in the post, though.

Both your daughters are really pretty. I think it would be so nice to live close by my grown children. That has to be a very nice benefit of living in Europe. Even though you aren't that close at least it is a lot closer!
