Exploring Vicenza - Part 1

Here are the pictures and videos I've taken so far...

1st taste of gelato!
This was on post and off post it's actually much better!
Our first true Italian meal - YUMMY!
This was my plate - seafood spagetti, with prawns, muscles, clams and shrimp. The flavor of the sauce was out of this world!!!
Alex and Bella had spagetti with meat sauce.
Thomas had roast beef and veggies.
Bella didn't eat much so didn't get dessert.
I had my first cappucino and ooohhhh my - fabulous!!!
This is our post office box - at the very top!!
You literally need a ladder to reach it!

1st Italian bus ride!
And off we go...
Teatro Olimpico

Beautiful pictures. Wow! It must be so exciting to see all of this in person.

I don't have time to watch the videos before I leave for work, so I'll be sure to come back later today to check them out.

It's good to have you back to blogging. *hugs*

By the way, I keep forgetting two things....

1) I'm glad Alex is there with you for awhile. I'm sure she's a big help for you.

2) How many hours are you ahead of me?

I love all the pictures. The food looks amazing. Wow, your seafood spaghetti didn't even look real it was so amazing! I love the close detail with the pictures. Wow, the roads built like that last forever, don't they? And all that gorgeous architecture just goes on and on. It's really quite amazing. With so much less technology than we have today they created some of the most beautiful things in history. Amazing.

Jeannie, I have missed you. I was just thinking that surely you have set things up by now and I was right. What a fabulous experience you and your family are having. Enjoy every moment. You will relive these memories for decades. I have been to Italy but not to the town you are near. I loved all the art, the food, and the wonderful friendly people. Thanks for posting all the pix. I am putting your name in my list of fave blogs so I don't have to search so hard for you again.

So many beautiful pictures - and the most beautiful are the ones with Alex and Bella in them...

Looks like you are in for a treat sense-wise - visual, aural, and gastronomical.

I gotta admit...I'm with Lynn on not eating what you had on that plate. LOL

I checked out your videos tonight and then looked over your pictures again. They are truly awesome! I hope your stay in Italy is a wonderful experience. From the looks of the beginning, I'm sure it will be. :)
