See this?? You would think that this is a ton of stamping stuff, and it is! BUT...this doesn't include the basics (like a paper cutter, bone folder, black ink, acrylic blocks, etc, etc, etc). Luckily I found some Martha Stewart stamping things in my PX and have been "making do". Just for the record - I HATE making do, lol!!!! When you practically have one of everything, trying to get creative with a lil of this and a lil of that truly is a challenge!
So I got out my stuff and took out what wasn't strictly Christmas, holiday, etc to see just what I had to work with. I must be totally spoiled because I really wanted to just cry, not craft!!! All I kept thinking was....I wish I had my *insert super cool crafty stuff here*!!!! But I also wanted to play along with the challenge, so.....I got down to business!!
This is the card I came up with:
Recipe:
Stamps: SU Occasional Quotes (hostess set) & Confetti
Ink: SU Poppy Parade, MS version of More Mustard & Bermuda Bay
Paper: SU DSP and MS gray
Accessories: MS trellis border punch, SU ribbon punch, SU buttons, SU gray and espresso brads, SU owl punch
I know I won't be the Queen, but it sure does feel good to play again!! Want to play along, or see the other cards? Click HERE! Thanks for stopping by to see my card!!!

It's so fun to see what you make! Very cute! Will your shopping for supplies be more difficult now?
That card is darling!
That is a seriously cute card. Who says your not going to be queen?
How cute! I always wanted to learn to do that.
Darling, you did AWESOME!!! This card is soooooo adorable, I love it!
WHEW! I'm all caught up!
1) The video of the kids playing Simon Says is hysterical! It's funny to watch them first react when you throw out a new action. You can almost see their little brains working! They definitely know how to march and salute, though!
2) School started here a couple of weeks ago, but it just started on Monday for my nieces. I went to school with my sister to meet their teachers and drop off their school supplies. Separating the supplies out the night before into their respective bags and dropping them off at school REALLY took me back (although I'm pretty sure I never had to take in dry erase markers or copy paper). I love the smell of crayons, too, and a box full of freshly sharpened pencils. I'm trying to get sis to be the Class Pencil Sharpener (an actual volunteer position for parents). I think she would excel!
3) The Army furniture you have looks EXACTLY like what they outfit the temporary lodging with here on base. And yeah, that couch? Not comfy. At all. Or the bed. Here's to hoping you don't have much longer to wait! But you do have a grill now, it looks like! ;)
4) I think your card is AWESOME and so creative! I agree, you do get spoiled to having everything and it actually takes much more creativity to come up with something when you don't have all of your tools. Working with what you have when you don't have everything is MUCH harder. But you came shining through, like always! And yay for Stampin' Up boxes. I went to a scrapbook yard sale off base a few weeks ago and got my first Stampin' Up stuff. I don't have a lot of time for it with the business, but it is a great stress reducer!
Of course you'll be the Queen! Your cards are so cute!
I'm glad you are playing again!!
I've missed those weirdo colors..
Imagine the The Trix Rabbit's saying "raspberry red, lemon yellow, orange orange" for colors like Poppy Parade? More Mustard!? and Bermuda Bay!!!
Super cute, Jeannie!
Great work! I admire your talent. I am not gifted in crafts.
You make the cutest cards.
I love your card!
I also understand...I am so not a making do girl either :)
I love the wise owls. You did more than make do.
