This is really cool!!

Amazing technology from Japan!

Can you guess what these are??

A closer look...

Pens with cameras, perhaps??

What can they be???

Give up?

THEY'RE COMPUTERS!!!

How amazing is this???
I guess laptops just got outdated, lol!
What an amazing time we live in!

********************************************

Update: Well, I got ALL of the upstairs done yesterday and with Thomas' help, we got it all brought downstairs to the garage. Two days gone, two more to go! (Ugh!!!!) I'm so sore it's not even funny. I think I need a Motrin IV or something, lol! I did tell Thomas that no matter whether stuff sells or not, it's NOT coming back into the house!!!!

You should see the garage (mental note, take a picture!!!). It is so FULL of crap, and somehow I'll have to wade through it all to price everything. I had intended to price stuff as I went, but that just wasn't feasible as I thought it was going to take me longer to get everything rounded up. So this ought to be interesting...

Bella, who had be ANGELIC through all of this so far, started recognizing that things were disappearing....and threw a fit! That kid is so smart and she just immediately KNOWS exactly what has gone. We are selling her kitchen set which is in the hallway nook upstairs. She hardly ever plays with it anymore (she got it when she was 2), and it also takes up a lot of space we may not have in our next home. Many of her babyish toys are going too, but it's so hard for kids to understand. I told her she has so much and some kids don't have hardly any toys to make her feel better. It didn't work, lol!!! Epic fail.

I just want it to be over already. It's been a longggggggg week so far!

There was some video my husband showed me of a guy who had come up with a shirt that had computer chips built into it...you could project the computer's data on a piece of paper, a wall...whatever. It was pretty amazing.

Interesting about the computers. I'd never have thunk it. Yes, don't let that "junk" back in--EVER! We gutted when we left ID and I've rarely been sorry. (There are just a couple of regrets, but no looking back...) A new beginning! Bella will forget this in a decade or two. I'm sure it will leave no lasting emotional scars. ;o)

That computer is too cool!!!

Poor Bella... you need to work out a better story... Hmmm.... you're letting other folks keep things while you move and ... get settled in... and ... maybe she'll just forget? Nawww.. that prolly won't work either..

My ER doc was drooling over the computer technology!!!!!
Good luck with the yard sale. I wish I lived close, I would bring dinner over and take Bella to a movie.

I wonder if we will ever get to use such computers.

I would tell Bella that she will need space for all the exciting Italian toys she will get for Christmas. Also have you thought of letting her choose something that she really wants to take if she agrees to leaving behind babyish things. Or have you family that will store until she is an adult those special memories for her.

My advice...have a cahrity scheduled to come and pick up whatever doesn't sell. That's what we did with our garage sale. At 7pm a truck pulled into the driveway and took away everything that was leftover. This way, there was no temptation to bring anything back inside. And there was no cleanup or reorganization.

Also, tell Bella that she can help sell stuff and part of the money you make will go toward buying her something really cool once you get to the new house. That's what we did with my nephew and it finally calmed him down.

You will probably not miss anything once it is gone. In fact, you'll probably feel great!

Those computers are amazing. It seems that they might be more challenging to fix if they break, though.

Dang, she realized it was gone! It's funny how kids never play with something but when it gets taken away they just HAVE to have it! lol

Good luck girl, I finally sent you some thank yous on my blog today!

Jeannie, I really appreciate your taking the time to blog in the midst of all the packing, yard sale preparations, birthday party and other stuff that is happening before your move. I almost feel like I'm one of your neighbors or relatives watching you get ready to leave. I wish you a sunny, warm and not hot, day for your yard sale and lots of interested buyers. I only wish I were closer so I could see what's in your sale and get some stuff for myself.

I saw an article or email or something about those computers awhile ago and thought...what's next? Technology is always expanding.

My kids used to have fits when I wanted to sell some of the toys they no longer played with. Sometimes they won. LOL

Hang in there...the weekend is almost here. *hugs*

Our kids are the exact same way...they never want to get rid of anything. So frustrating! Hopefully she will cooperate when she sees kids walking off with her stuff...(good idea to have a distraction for her that day).

My boys are teenagers & there's still stuff they don't want to get rid of!
