The movers are coming tomorrow and I have the chance to ship my computer ahead with our hold baggage, so it will be there about a week after we get there. Otherwise, it will be shipped with our household goods which will take 6-12 WEEKS to arrive.
I'm already going to be without my stamping goodies that long...can I survive without my computer too??? But then again, I'll have to use Thomas' laptop (you know, when he's not using it for important stuff like Bejeweled!!) for a month here and I really don't like laptops.
What to do? What to do!!! Help!!

I agree, since you will have a laptop, ship it. Tough choice though!! I have heart palpitations just thinking about not having my computer!! And I have an iphone...hello yes I am addicted to my internet and blogs :)

I too say ship it one month with a laptop or maybe 3 with it. I would go the 30 some odd days.

Silly me. I voted keep it cuz I didn't read the part below. (duh!) I didn't want to do without your blog (selfish me.) But then I read above and I've decided you should ship and take over the lap top. I love my lap top. (I'm unable to convert to iphone) On I babble...
I agree since you have the laptop ship it on girlfriend and high fives to Thomas because I am playing bejeweled on my ipod all the time LOL
Ship it! Always do whatever makes you do without it for the shortest time.
I have a friend that moved to Brazil recently and so I vote for have it there when you get there. Use the laptop in the comfort of your home here... and set it up to have your computer once you get there. That will at least give you some semblance of normalcy once you're there.
I'd keep it and sell it - and buy a new one once yuo get there!

Or if you do ship it now, hang on to the keyboard so you can plug it into the laptop - it will make life a bit easier for you.

mmmm ship it now and use the laptop you don't like here (and then there) for approx 5 weeks or have to use Thomas' laptop for 6 - 12 weeks there ????
SHIP IT NOW - because knowing you - you will be all set up and have nothing to do for 5 weeks waiting for your household things to arrive and really really want to be blogging and filling us in!
I'd definitely ship now. But only you know what is the right answer for you. This sure lets us know how close things are getting!
I am confused why you don't like laptops.
I love my computer, so I would carry it on with me on the plane. However, that might be a little more difficult with a desktop.
