Inspiring Quotes Wednesday

Dave Mustaine

Moving on, is a simple thing, what it leaves behind is hard.

Gilda Radner

I wanted a perfect ending, now I've learned; the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.

Anton Chekov

Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out.

Donald Trump

Everything in life is luck.

Josh Billings

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.

I'm so wiped out!! LOL! This garage sale/moving thing is kicking my butt! So much stuff; tons to throw out, give away, sell. Just too much!! It's really crazy. I want to pare it down because I don't want to move and unpack things we don't need and won't use!! Stuff that just gets moved from post to post, and NEVER used!!

Everything will be priced to sell fast, and I'm hoping that's exactly what will happen. DVDs for $1, CDs for $0.25, books $0.50 - $3.00. Last night Thomas and I cleaned the garage and then started bringing out all the stuff I had sorted through that day. I got the entire downstairs done yesterday!!! Which is great, except I still have the entire upstairs to do and that will be A LOT more stuff.

And I wish I could just dislodge the "emotion chip" from my brain for the next couple of days. Going through stuff, old pictures, old clothes, reliving memories - it makes ya cry sometimes and makes everything take longer, lol!!! Keep, Toss, Sell - that's what I have to focus on!!!

Just keep treking along. I mean if you got downstairs and a garage done yesterday, you can do the upstairs in 2 days max. You are going to get it all done and have plenty of relief when it is.
Love the Gilda Radner quote.
Big hugs all my faith is in you.
THAT. IS. ALL.

Amen Gilda.

Keep plugging - and yeah, so many memories in a lot of stuff... makes it hard.

Baggage--we carry around tons in lots of different forms. It's tough, I know. I love your quotes today too. It's that every day plugging along that'll knock you on your rear. You will be in Italy before you know it (where the baggage will find you and the daily grind will go on.) You are loved, lady, wherever you go.

I hope a ton of it sells!!! I know what you mean about hauling it from place to place!

That would be driving me crazy just trying to decide what to keep toss or sell LOL I have to talk myself out of keeping stuff that I really don't need. I still need to go through my closet and clean that out.

I loved the quotes and the flower pic fit just right to me :o)

I know what you mean about the emotion chip! I did the same thing when I was packing for my move. Looking at old pictures and mementos gets you so distracted!

I love quotes. Thanks for sharing!

Hang in there I am sure the emotions of moving are kicking in. Saying goodbye and thinking of those you will miss as you move.

Hugs!

That emotion chip gets you every time! Good luck with everything - can't wait to hear how the sale goes!!

I know what you mean about the "emotion chip". Been there many times. You'll get everything done that you need to get done so don't panic. Just think...you'll be in Italy soon and will be saying....ummm....saying whatever the word for "hello" is in Italian. :)

Loved those quotes.

*hugs*

Gilda is a wise, wise woman.

Going through things and getting rid of them is much harder than it really needs to be. You are right that if we didn't have emotions and could be purely objective and logical about it that cleaning out and moving on would be much simpler.

Good quotes. I think the secret to life is keeping your eye on the ball. The trick is figuring out which ball is yours.
