Favorite Summer Memories

Being an East Coast girl, my favorite summer memories always include the beach!!! I really miss Savannah and going to Tybee Beach when we were at Fort Stewart. We're so lucky to have our own American beach less than an hour away in Italy!!! ALL KINDS of fun things to do and equipment to rent too!! Really looking forward to it! (And ohmygosh - only 39 days away!!!!!)

The last time we went to Tybee was June of 2008. Alex was still living at home, Thomas was finally home from Iraq and the whirlwind of moving here hadn't hit yet. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time....
If you'd like to see this post, go ahead and click HERE. Great pictures and videos of a fantastic day at the beach!!! Bella looks so little and chubby - *giggle*. I had one of my headaches yesterday (and then it rained a bit last night), so I need to get yesterday's AND today's work done!! Make it a great day everyone!!!!!

I envy you getting to go live in Italy. What a great experience! I hope when you get there you won't forget to blog in your spare time.

I'm glad to hear your headache is gone.... Have a nice day!

If you grow up with beaches in your life it is hard to replace them. As much as I LOVE the mountains, beaches hold a special place in my heart.

Only 39 days? Wow.

Bella looks so little there! I'm looking forward to Italy about as much as you are.

Bella is so darling!
I have never had a beach so I guess I don't know what I'm missing.

Sorry about the headaches. They can be so horrible.

Ahh... the beach... what is it about the simple pleasure of sand... and a bucket and shovel.. with the sounds of the surf and seagulls mingled with the shouts of happy children?

The warmth of the sun on your back and the soft cotton of the beach towel on yoru tummy... the cooling spray of the water...

I looked at your post from two years ago. The pictures were great and the videos were fun to watch. I have a boogie board. I used to use it at the beach in Wildwood, NJ. Haven't been there since 1996, but one of these days, I hope to get back there. (it's 6 hours away)

Bella was cute as a button (still is) and Alex is a beautiful young woman. Thanks for sharing your memories.

I'm glad your headache is gone today. *hugs*
