Today is going to be one of those crazy, busy days! I have so much to do, I'm almost afraid to make a "To Do" list, but I will because the old brain tends to forget too much if I don't.Tomorrow is Bella's birthday party and I have decided to make cupcakes instead of having a cake for her. The past couple of birthday cakes for her have been expensive and dreadful, so this will have to be better, right?? I had wanted to get a cupcake tree, and of course now that I could finally justify the expense, I can't find one. I have one last day to get it!!!! I'm on a mission!
Of course I have the regular housework to do, on top of the ohmygosh-people-are-coming-over-here cleaning. It's true. I clean my house better for company than I do for my own family. Crazy, huh??
So I better get twirling....(wish me luck!)
PS: Bella's birthday isn't until August 18th, but we most likely won't have our household goods yet, and maybe not even be in a house, so we're celebrating now while we have people we know around us and chairs to sit on, lol!

I think I saw a cupcake tree at Target, but I could be wrong. Sorry, my mind ain't what it never was...You need to scurry. Such a busy lady. I always clean for company like a crazy woman. That's why I don't entertain more often. It's exhausting.

Well I operate much as you do...my house is always cleanest when people are coming over..one time when I was in a cleaning lather my husband finally told me...my goodness woman, its not like royalty is coming over!
But..to me company is royalty..sigh
Oh well..hope you find the cupcake tree! I remember seeing one at micheals one time in the cake decorating section...but that was a while back.

I clean house much better for company too. Sometimes I invite people over so that I'm forced to clean. How crazy is that!!!!

My nephew's wife made cupcakes for their daughter's 3rd birthday party and it was much easier for the kids. (and the adults)

My dad made an awesome cupcake tree for my wedding when I married Chris. We couldn't find one then because it was before cupcakes became "cool".

Can't help with the cupcake tree, but having the birthday party early is a great idea. As for the cleaning for company vs. cleaning for family, I think most of us would say we do the same.
I feel your pain about the cleaning. It is like... I try, but I just can't do it. And then I feel so guilty because my husband works 7 days a week and I know a nice clean house would make him happy!
