I can't fight it anymore...

...I'm sick. Really, really sick. I've been sick for a week and I'm not getting better. In fact this morning I feel the worst so far. I finally let Thomas call and make me an appointment yesterday, and I'll be seeing a doctor this morning. Bella is getting seen too even though she just has a runny nose (clear) and a cough.

Anyone want to take bets on whether it's a 1) sinus infection, 2) ear infection, 3) strep or 4) all of the above??? Whatever this nasty, horrible crud is...it's now not only in my head, but my chest too. AND this morning my eyes are all red and itchy and super puffy!!! It's not my best look!

I've got:
1. A non-stop, want to blow your brains out headache since last Thursday.
2. I haven't been able to breathe out of my nose since last Friday.
3. Sinus pain and pressure.
4. My right ear hurts wayyyyy deep inside and makes me want to shove a metal rod in there!
5. My throat hurts to breathe, much less swallow anything.
6. I blow my nose all day long and the contents look like a bio-hazard!
7. Ditto on the coughing up gunk - blech!!
8. My throat glands are competing with my shoulder muscles on who can hurt the most.

So yeah, I'm a mess. I'm hoping that I get some good medicines that will just knock this thing out already. I don't have time to be sick!!! And keeping up my usual stuff while I'm sick is getting old!! Luckily Thomas has a four day weekend starting tomorrow, so Mom might be kicking back in bed with some tea and a couple of lovely books for the duration!!! I'll let you know how the trip to the outskirts of Hell on post doctor's office visit goes...

Jeannie, I sure hope the doctor finds exactly the right meds to put you back in action. It sure sounds like a bad sinus infection. In that case, you definitely want to get to the doc asap. (Think how close your brain is to your sinuses.)

So very sorry to hear you are not feeling up to par - hopefully the doc can give you something to knock this out so you can be back to yourself really soon - besides you have too much to do to be messing with an "unknown" illness.

Feel better.

I hope they give you some good effective drugs to clear this thing up! I think you've had your share of sick to last you for the next decade! Feel better soon!

BOOOO for being sick during a 4-day!! That is so wrong. I would like to place my bet that it's an ear infection with a heavy dose of sinus infection. It sounds very similar to what I had at the beginning of spring. And you're so right...you don't have time for that crap! Hugs to you (but y'know...from AFAR) and I hope you feel better very very soon!!! Ask for Bactrim at the clinic. It will kill every bacteria in your body, including the good stuff, but you'll feel 100% in no time (except for perhaps some lingering hemrrhoids)...

Hmm.. sounds like a bad case of orange barrel throat and cone ear.

The only known cure is to stay far away from potholes and construction sites.

...and a million hugs from your friends...
