ColourQ Challenge #34

When I saw this week's colors, I immediately thought of our new set Fox & Friends. The only problem though was that one of the design team members thought so too...and had already made up a card not only using that set but was virtually the same layout I was going to go with! Great minds think alike, huh??

So Rachel came over last night and I showed her The List of possibilities I had made up; different stamp sets, various layouts, new techniques, etc and we brainstormed a bit. She thought I could still use the Fox set but just do something really different with it. I said I had only made a Topnote Quilt once and maybe I could do one with the different animals on it. Then it became a baby quilt. Then I remembered the new Build-A-Bear baby bear die I recently got in....and that is how this card came to be! Thanks Rachel!!!

My card for this week's challenge:
"Twinkle, twinkle little star
darling baby, here you are!"

Recipe:
Stamps: SU Fox & Friends, SU Short Sayings, SU banner stamp (purchased alone)
Ink: Ballet Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery
Paper: SU cardstock, SU Pawsitively DSP
Accessories: SU heart border punch, Bigshot top note die, argyle embossing folder, orange half pearls, Bigshot Build-A-Bear baby bear die, brads, SU markers, small star punch, 1 1/4" square punch

This is a picture of the quilt before putting on the faux stitching, or mounting it to the card front. I was really afraid I'd dork it up and wanted proof that it was originally cute, lol!

I made a rounded banner for the top.

My baby bear in his onesie!

I have no one to give this to, so it will be added to my shop tomorrow! Fingers crossed yet again on the contest!!!

If you'd like to join in on the fun at ColourQ, you have until Sunday noon CST to make up your masterpiece!! Come on - you'll love it!

I have to say, that fox is a heckuva lot cuter than the one I saw on my way to work last week!

I love the faux stitching! Dork it up? Whatever.

That is cute. I have yet to ever try a challenge, but you certainly inspire me.
I did take a picture of 4 of my cards that I did for our club.

I'm still working on getting SU stuff so it's a bit shy on the stamping part.

How fabulous, Jeannie! You've used those colors so beautifully. I think my favorite part is the little bear in his onesies.
