My Sunday Blessings

This past week has been a toughie for me, and even though I'm glad it's behind me, there are always blessings in your life if you look for them!

Even though I had one of my terrible headaches almost every day last week, I'm so blessed that there are medicines to help. I'm so blessed to have a husband who understands that sometimes I really can't cook....or do much else besides hold my head all day long.

I'm so blessed that Bella got an S+ every day for the past two weeks and has been better behaved in the evenings as well. I really think we've turned a corner!!

Although there are "pot stirrers" in this world, I'm so blessed to have the bestest best friends in the world who are always there to support me!

After weeks of bad dreams, I'm so blessed to have finally figured out why I was feeling so down about moving when it's something I've wanted for years and years. It was really an epiphany for me - I will blog about this soon.

I'm so blessed to have the most awesome Stamping Studio!!!! It's such a wonderful place to go to where everything is pretty, organized and waiting to be enjoyed. It's been such a sanctuary for me and I love it!!

***********************************

Even though I didn't need them, Thomas let me get the new Stampin Up acrylic blocks!!! They are so shiny and look like ice! I had blocks already but they weren't nearly as pretty, lol!

With so many SU colors retiring (30 out of 48!!), I got this two sided color wheel so I could remember all the names. It's a pretty cool tool as well!

I found this retired SU set on eBay! I LOVE IT!!! This will be another nice set to watercolor!

Funny Ransom Note Swap!
I had so much fun making this!!!

Spring Has Sprung ATC Swap
I made two of these, using the new punches, stamps and coordinating buttons!

Tree of Life ATC swap
I made two but only needed one (oops!), so I'm sending one to my ATC loving friend!

****************************************

Last night was Bunco Night, and I hosted!! I wanted to take tons of pictures and even remembered to charge up my camera. But pretty much forgot to use it, lol! I was busy making food, serving it, and cleaning up afterwards, lol!

These are the Consolation Prizes I made. I wasn't sure if the ladies would like them but they were a big hit - yay! Of course I left it till the very, very last minute and was rushing yesterday afternoon to make them.

Although I TOTALLY forgot to take a picture of the main course (and it was SO darn pretty and tasty too!!!!), thanks to Rachel I have a picture of my triffle! She reminded me just as she was about to scoop some out, so that's why a couple of the berries on top are out of place. Oh well! This was a lemon-strawberry one and it was sooooo yummy!!!

All the treats and desserts everyone brought! There was also a Black Forest Triffle, peanut butter-chocolate crispy bars, cream puffs, chocolate mini eclairs, sugared pecans and popcorn. Yeah....no one went home hungry!!! LOL! I also made "almost" homemade salsa too and wowie, was that stuff goooood!!!

I would also like to say that....I GOT SEVEN BUNCOS!!! And I had the highest score! That usually means the top two prizes but as the Hostess I didn't take either of them. I'm just awesome like that, lol!

Rachel getting dessert.

I made her do it, lol!!
She's such a good sport!!!!

So that was my blessed week!! I must say it finished so much better than it started!! I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing Sunday and your bestest ever upcoming week!

You poor friend, Rachel. God love her for not making the speedy dash she looked like she wanted to make. I think you owe her more trifle for that. ;)

The cards are beautiful, as always, of course! And I'm so glad the headaches have gone away. I know hubs is understanding, but there is nothing worse than not feeling good. At least the rest of the household was on their best behavior! Looking forward to the post about your epiphany.

Happy Sunday, love! Sorry I've been so absent. I pinkie swear I'll be better!

What a wonderful blog post, Jeannie. I really enjoyed reading about your blessings this week. It's a great reminder that we all have many blessings in our lives that we sometimes overlook, but shouldn't. I hope you have a wonderful week ;D

I'm glad your headaches have subsided. I know how bad they can get for you. You have a wonderful husband who takes care of you and looks out for you. That's a real blessing.

The cards are very nice. Loved the one with the birdies. :)

And I gotta hand it to your friend, Rachel...she did good. If it had been me, I would have run in the opposite direction of the camera. LOL Those desserts looked so great. (mmm mmm mmm) I love anything that has Black Forest in the name. :)

Have a great Sunday!

I get headaches (migraines) too. Nothing else counts when I have one but getting rid of it. What do you take? I use Imitrex (generic now) but I know it doesn't help everyone. The desserts look amazing. You are blessed to have such a good support system.

S+ must be good? Strange how every school seems to have their own system. No Elementary does plain ole' A's and B's anymore.

Glad you got over your headaches.

I am so glad this week is over as well I am finally on the mend although there was a surprise ending. Have to see the blog for that one.
The ATCs were stunning , but I wouldn't expect less from you, and the note card holders super super cute.
You can come cook for me anytime! I am very anxious to see why you'd be nervous moving!

That trifle looks to die for.

Did I ever tell you that I work down the street from the SU headquarters, in Utah? It is ENORMOUS. I honestly thought it was City Hall at first.
