UGH!!!!!!

Normally I do my "Sunday's Blessings" post on Sunday. Today is Sunday. And I AM blessed. But I'm not doing a blessings post today. Although I do realize how truly blessed I am, I'm also ticked off at the moment too. So we're going with that.

I just want to say...........I'M JUST SO OVER, OVER, OVER LIVING IN GEORGIA!!!!!! (Now if you live in Georgia, or are from Georgia and that offends you - sorry. But I'm over it.)

- I'm SO OVER the whole reverse-racism thing that runs RAMPANT here. And I've lived in two separate places in Georgia and traveled all over the state. It's bad and it sucks. I'm a NYer, born and bred. I have never held anyone in bondage. So stop acting like I did!!

- Turn signals. Try using them! Left for left, right for right. It really isn't that hard!!!

- Just because you pretend I don't exist, you really can't push your "buggy" (aka shopping cart) through me. And when you try, I'm going to have something to say about it. And chances are I'm going to make you really hurt before the police arrive. Just sayin.

- I know you really want to have my parking spot. BUT...if you will just give me enough room to back my car out, it's all yours. If you don't, we're both just sitting there. And yet it took 10 minutes and many hand signals for you to come to that conclusion. You're too stupid to drive!

- To the dim-witted mother who gave her child that obnoxiously loud Easter toy and then complained that she played with it non-stop, may I just say....DUH!!! Stupid is as stupid does. Even Forrest Gump knows that!!!

- As a good driver, I will wait for you to cross the road in the pedestrian crossing. If you deliberately "mosey" along, or worse yet stop completely because someone has said something completely earth-shattering in your bluetooth, I'm going to get a tad impatient. And by tad impatient I mean I'm running your stupid ass over because frankly there are too many of you knuckleheads running around in the world.

- If you are too stupid to be able to handle something as simple as running a cash register position, then I feel sorry for you. Seriously, my heart bleeds for you. However, if you are truly that stupid and you actually are a cashier, I will not show you one ounce of mercy. At all. And if you give me attitude because you are incompetent, I will personally show you what attitude is! (Don't try this at home folks, I'm a professional!!!)

- If you have a coupon for a FREE BOX of cereal that means you don't pay for it. Honest Abe!! So when you, you the dumbest cashier on the face of the planet!, reduce my bill by $1.38 on a $3.50 box of cereal when I have a coupon for a FREE BOX, I'm going to bring it to your attention. And when you still couldn't figure out the concept of FREE and I said forget it, give me back my coupon and take off the cereal, I meant it. Really meant it. As in I wasn't joking. My voice getting louder and my face getting redder should have been a clue. You're lucky I was with my family.

Going to the "slum" Walmart right outside of post was a mistake. It usually is. But today, it just perfectly exemplified all the things I truly hate about Georgia. In abundance. And for all the dim-witted, rascist, rude, stupid, can't breathe without your cell phone knuckleheads who have crossed my path and run over me with your shopping carts (they are NOT buggies!!!), I'm leaving soon (although not soon enough) and I will then have a smile that cannot be removed, as I sip fabulous Italian wine at a quaint, corner cafe while watching the sun set in Vicenza. So put that in your crack pipe and smoke it!!!!

I am still laughing over and trying to understand how that cashier came up with her numbers. We drove through Georgia three years ago and met the nicest guy who gave us his phone number because he thought we were too far from home without knowing anyone. At the time we thought it was great...now thinking back he could of been an axe murderer.

"And chances are I'm going to make you really hurt before the police arrive. Just sayin."

And THIS is why I love you. We have an abundance of people like that here in SoCal, only they feel ENTITLED to do whatever they damn well please INCLUDING telling me how to discipline my child in public!!

I told that person that as soon as I was done disciplining MY child, I was going to discipline THEM! Mama don't play.

I do wonder what all them black folk who thought Obama was going to send them a check are saying now? LMAO

You go girl!
I'm lovin' your attitude.

My daughter had the same complaints when she lived in Nashville and Atlanta.

LOL!! Feel better - this made me laugh!
I have a good friend who was forced to move to Georgia last summer (husband job change) after living out west her entire life and she pretty much says the same stuff.

i love rantie posts - just love 'em. i did leave my heart in georgia, but i can see how you would be frustrated - although stupid-as incompetence isn't just solely the reserve of georgia - there are DUMBASS people EVERYWHERE!

i did find that attitude prevalent tho when i lived there, and esp noticed it when i travelled outside of georgia - u really wanna say - hellooooooooo - the war ended like centuries ago!

*laffin*!

hate to say... idiots are everywhere. Although I have noticed the farther south you go the more "touched in the head" they are. Maybe it's because of all the sun they usually have?

.oO(apologies to those that I know that live south of the Mason-Dixon. If you know me or visit any of the same blogs I do, obviously you have great taste and brains as well!)

I wish I could express my frustrations as well as you do.

I hate reverse racism. I experienced some of that in Southern CA where i grew up. It's ridiculous.

Love the attitude and sass! You get 'em!!! I am so jealous that you are moving to Italy. Not fair!!! Thanks for dropping by my blog. I am glad you enjoyed it and I made you hungry. Drop by again.

the reverse racism in HI is the only thing I didn't like about living there.

I experience most of those things at our local walmart too!! Retarded/mind-numbingly slow cashiers are a pet peeve of mine!

Unfortunately, as stated by others, stupidity is an epidemic that is becoming way too common.

Breathe in... breathe out... Try as we may, we can't escape from the stupid people! seriously, they're just not in Georgia, they're all over the world!!

During the weekend, we went grocery shopping.. we didn't have a bagger boy, so WE (my mom, sis and I) had to bag our OWN groceries! The cashier lady didn't even offer to help us. THEN, we wanted a cart to put our bagged groceries in, she didn't call anyone to get us one!! SO... i had to get it myself! THEN SHE had the NERVE to give me the bad eye and tell me, "Ma'am, you're not allowed to get that cart."! so i got furious and shot back at her, "Why? we bagged our own groceries, i can get my own cart! Find us a bagger boy and i won't touch your stupid cart!" ...she did but she was giving me the evil eye! So, i got her name and remembered her face... stupid cashier girl! I'll yell at her again soon... i'm sure! hahaha! ^_^

Girlfriend I feel you! Just keep chanting Italy here I come!
My biggest pet peeve about all of that is pedestrians.
Chris got told many a time in Germany I am a bad driver because I almost hit someone crossing the street. I do this for only 2 things if you are dumb enough to stop in the street of traffic OR if you are walking in the middle of the street and a cross walk is five ft away from you. yup I said it if you refuse to use a crosswalk you deserve to have your A$@ clipped.
That. is. all.

Wow, since I was raised in Georgia, spent most of my life there before I moved up a little to Tennessee, glad to finally see how I'm catagorized! And here I was thinking I was a true Southern Belle!!!

You go girl!!!!!! All the things you listed above (and I mean ALL of them) bug the heck out of me and on most days I try to ignore it, however there are days when it's enough...
You're so lucky to move to Italy!

Amen - imagine how much nicer the world would be if they made driver's licenses about 200% harder to get (and scraped the worse 30% of the drivers off the road?)

I hate to say it, but it ain't just Georgia...

Preach it sister! I freaking HATE idiots in general.

LOL this is why I keep telling my southern husband we CAN NOT move to Georgia! He really thinks it would be "neat" not to mention we could buy a house about 10 times bigger then the one we have in California. I do not think it is worth the risk.

AMEN!
