Inspiring Quotes Wednesday

Erma Bombeck

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me".

Arthur Miller

Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets.

Henry David Thoreau
The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.

Mel Brooks

Look, I don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully, or you're not alive.

Robert Byrne
The purpose of life is a life of purpose.

Did I somehow miss your birthday? I've been away from blogging since before Christmas. If so, hope it was a great one! Thank you, by the way, for the pretty Christmas card you sent me and my family. So sweet!

Did I ever tell you that I once met Erma Bombeck and her hubby? Of all unlikely places, on an "eco tour" in the Northern Chilean Desert. I was covering the tour as a journalist; they were a couple of the eco-tourists. And she was just as funny-if not more so-in person. PS: Happy Belated Birthday, Jeannie!

I'm loving Mel Brooks statement!

I hope that at the end of my life I've loved well, and that I haven't turned a blind-eye to truth that I could have seen.

You know, I've always thought Erma Bombeck was much, much smarter than she let on... :)

If you follow her advise you are going to Bee Busy since you've got so much talent to "get through".

I love Erma's quote!

If you like seafood you would like razor clams. They look a little scary but taste delish. Wish I could send some your way...oh yea, I didn't get any! Ha ha!

Erma Bombeck is my Heroine!
I truly miss her humor about raising children and everyday antics. I've started to read (again)one of her books I've collected. She is a classic...timeless humor.

Have you ever read her last letter after her diagnoses? It truly is a must read. I went through several Kleenex reading her touching words.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
