De-Stress Thursday

One of the swaps I signed up for on Swap-Bot was to make a list of 100 things that make me happy. Sounds easy, right? At first it is.....and then it takes a bit longer, and you have to think about it. But thinking about things is usually a good idea once in a while, lol!

Jeannie's List of 100 things that makes her happy:

1. The smell of my daughter’s hair.

2. A purring cat on my lap.

3. The sound of my husband pulling up in the driveway.

4. Christmas music.

5. Holiday baking.

6. My birthday…otherwise I’d be dead!

7. Making cards.

8. Checking the mail, and finding fun stuff instead of bills!

9. Rubber stamping.

10. Just about anything sparkly.

11. RIBBONS!

12. BRADS!

13. Pink lemonade.

14. Dark chocolate.

15. English tea.

16. A clean house.

17. New sheets on my bed.

18. The sound of children’s laughter.

19. Curling up with a good book.

20. Going to the movies with a friend.

21. Eating lunch out with my husband.

22. Shopping on eBay.

23. Entertaining/cooking for friends.

24. Just about anything pink or yellow.

25. Baroque music.

26. My new ihome my husband bought me.

27. My craft room.

28. The sound of birds singing in the morning.

29. Thunderstorms…as long as I don’t have to go out in it!

30. Going to the beach.

31. Cross stitching.

32. Needlepoint.

33. Learning new paper crafting techniques.

34. Doing homework with my daughter.

35. Opening presents on Christmas morning.

36. Thanksgiving dinner.

37. Fancy pens.

38. New flavors of gum.

39. Pretty sunrises and sunsets.

40. Chili cheese hotdogs with lots of onions and mustard.

41. Seafood…anything!

42. The smell of fresh bread baking.

43. Office supply stores.

44. Good dollar store finds.

45. Shopping at Sephora!!

46. Gi-normous dill pickles.

47. Mint chocolate chip ice cream.

48. Getting a pedicure.

49. Blowing bubbles.

50. Car rides to nowhere in particular.

51. Having my home all clean and organized.

52. Participating on Swap Bot.

53. Blogging.

54. Meeting new friends.

55. Playing barbies with my daughter.

56. 80’s music.

57. Monet’s artwork.

58. Guitar Hero!!! (yes, I totally ROCK!!)

59. Wii Fit.

60. Playing golf with my husband.

61. Going to amusement parks and riding ALL the rides!

62. Cotton candy.

63. Pearl jewelry.

64. French tip nails.

65. Mocha chip java chillers from Sonic.

66. Enough pasta to have a good carb coma!

67. Thick, rare steaks.

68. Traveling to new countries.

69. Watching Survivor.

70. Watching LOST.

71. Home magazines.

72. Making up new recipes.

73. A smaller number on the scale.

74. Emails from friends.

75. Playing with my daughter’s hair…when she’ll let me!

77. Berry Blue kool-aid.

78. Going out dancing.

79. Shopping for really cute handbags.

80. Warm winters without snow.

81. Driving around town to look at Christmas lights.

82. Worshipping in church.

83. Long phone calls with good friends.

84. Pringles HOT buffalo wing chips.

86. Glass of wine.

87. Watching the daily counter of my not smoking go up!!!

88. Getting new scents for my oil warmer. (Scentsy)

89. Nice comments on my blog.

90. Getting new followers on my blog.

93. Fresh flowers on my kitchen counter.

95. Going to the Ballet.

96. Laughing till your sides ache.

I have that many things to be grateful for ... but doesn't it take a long time to write it all out? I think it's a good idea though. Maybe next time my kids start complaining I will have them do this 100-grateful list idea!
