Bella has been having some issues lately. Temper tantrum issues to be more exact. Thermal-nuclear meltdowns to be even more exact. And they aren't pretty!!!! This past Saturday morning she was REALLY on a roll. Thomas and I tried everything, but each thing just ticked her off more and made an already bad situation worse. In desperation I sent her to her room. I could still hear her though. Heck the whole post could hear her!!!
Sighing, I headed upstairs. I had no idea what to do anymore. All my Grade A Mommy Material was worthless on her. And then, cue angels singing!, I saw my camera sitting on the table in my craft room...
I'm happy to report that she was PERFECT the rest of the weekend, through today as well!!! No sign of "evil Bella" to be seen or heard anywhere!!! I've got two camera batteries charged up....just in case!
My grandson is 5 and he has been known to throw very similar temper tantrums. I think starting school is such a big change for them that they act out in other ways.
Oh my! That was great! I just took a similar video of my daughter having a meltdown during homework. She was not happy with me, but she got over it! LOL
Hmmm, I just might have to try that. Especially with older kids they become convinced that they have done NOTHING wrong and are the victim when, in reality, not so much.
I did record my daughter once when she claimed to be playing the piano properly and she wasn't so I taped her so that she could see what she was doing. Turns out, she didn't need to see, she knew the whole time!! And she immediately self corrected once she knew I'd taped her!
Oh, my goodness, Jeannie! Even when Bella is having a bad day, she's still just as cute as a button! I bet it's hard for you to be upset with her too long. I taped Brittany once when she was younger and throwing a "mad fit". She was so embarrassed when I played it back for her...worked like a charm!
I can so relate to these meltdowns. Rose has been unbelievable lately! Then again, I guess it's a little expected with all that's been going on in our lives the last few months, and there's no end in sight just yet. Oh to get things settled and life back to normal. I wish taking my camera out would work on her!
Who am I??? Well, a lot more than will fit into a little box! I am many things, to many people, but I am and always will be...the Queen! I'm an Air Force veteran, a retired Army Wife, an Army Mom, and an Air Force Mom! I have a passion for paper crafting, especially stamping. It's a terrific way to be creative, even if you have little "artistic" talent like me, lol! My family is everything to me, and I think it shows in everything I do. Happiness is my realm, and I personally welcome you!

Oh we know those fits all too well!
Was it a FULL MOON? LOL Meltdowns are a normal way of life around here!
Hmmm... maybe I need to try that trick on Haylee! She's good at those temper tantrums!
Awww. The "don't tell your friends" got to me. *gives Bella a hug*

The 3 year old I nanny for had a temper tantrum of epic proportion this morning....
My daughter had a temper tantrum all weekend... so then I did too!
That was funny (for us) and who would have thunk the blog would be the key to better behavior? LOL
LOL ok your right the camera worked wonders.
Is it wrong that she is adorable when she's freaking out?!
And the camera is a pretty brilliant solution. Did you show her the footage?
*keeps this in mind...just in case*
OMG!! All you need to do is insert The Diva's face and name and you've got MY kid's thermo-nuclear meltdowns. Even her Daddy agrees. LOL
I need to film Ro doing one of hers. Then we can compare kids...and our hell. LMAO
I wonder when the "web cam" is going to be installed - it would be like those beach cams where you can see the waves rolling up the beach...
I got a good chuckle out of the "Noooo! nOoooooOOOOO!! Doooooooon't!!" I hope your little cutey pie is behaving today.
