What have I done???

I don't know how it happened, but somehow I opened my BIG MOUTH last night and said to Thomas....."You should start your own blog!". WHAT???? I have no reason or excuse. I think I was possessed or something. I dunno.

So Thomas said, "But what should I call it?". Like doing it was a foregone conclusion, but it needed a name, lol! His nickname in the military arena, and not always in a positive manner, is The Standard. As in he is a walking, talking portrayal of THE STANDARD for the Army. I'm surprised he isn't on a poster or something! He is the original GI Joe!!

He has practically no hair, but gets a haircut every week. Because he's The Standard.

He got his uniform dirty doing a detail last week. So he came home to change an hour before the end of the day. Because he's The Standard.

He refuses to wear a cutie Bella pic inscribed dogtag on his official dogtags. Because he's The Standard.

He knows nearly every FM (field manual) by heart. Because he's The Standard.

He will go around, embarrassing me greatly!!!, and "correct" soldiers out of uniform, etc while out shopping with me. Because he's The Standard.

Guess what his blog's name is? Yeppers, The Standard. I have no clue what he's gonna write about, but I'm sure it will be interesting. Please go give him a visit, leave a comment and if you really wanna make him happy, become a follower. Just don't let him catch you with your hands in your pockets or needing a haircut, lol!!!!!

I just paid Thomas a visit...I am now a follower of his! His blog looks great and I even love the title of it..."The Standard". Sorry that Bella got you up so early today...try to catch some shut-eye for a few minutes, if you can!

How fun! That's very interesting that your husband is interested enough to even create a blog. My husband would have rolled his eyes and said, yeah right. Partly, though, because I barely let him on the computer as it is. :) Thanks for stopping by for Monday Memory Madness- if you want, it's actually a game- I didn't have Mr. Linky up yet, but you can create your own memory post to link up too. :)

Your husband started his own blog? That's great! I wish I could just get mine to read our site.

Oh, and the name he chose just plain rocks.

Maybe "The Standard" can give some tips on how to properly discipline a teenage boy!

Are you sure you didnt interview my hubby and get some notes mixed up? my hubster is THE poster child for the navy. I could have written this myself.

It occurred to be on the drive home from work that the choice of name could have taken an interesting twist had he gone with "American Standard".

Go ahead... flush this... :)

Our hubbies would really get along great. Mine is in Iraq sending me emails about how people are walking around not in proper uniform. It's well over 100 flippin' degrees...

Going to pop over to The Standard now.

Maybe he won't stick with it. My Thomas started one, but lost interest VERY quickly!

BTW, I am LOVING your new layout. Totally fab! I'm jealous!
