Great Tip Tuesday!

Great Tip #1
Scentsy Products!!

Have you heard of these?? Up until very recently I hadn't. I've been introduced to this amazing line of products. Basically they are wickless candles, but better than ANY candle ever - even Yankee candles!!!! You pick out your warmer, and put a cube of wax on the top part and turn it on. The wax is heated by a light bulb (25 watt) inside! The wax melts but doesn't get as hot as normal candle wax and the scent is much stronger, and longer lasting. Then when you want a change, you just pour the wax back into the mold, will NOT melt the plastic container!, wipe out the top with a paper towel, and pop in a new "cube". AWESOME!!! Go to http://www.scentsy.com/bpainter and click MY EVENT. You will then see Philip Briggs Benefit, to check it out for yourself! Right now I have the Skinny Dippin' cube going and the smell is soooooooooo yummy!!!!! Angora warmer (much prettier in person!)
My Luminous warmer. Although this looks pink, it's actually white on white and gorgeous!
This is what the bars look like. When you pour the wax back into the container (even after having it going almost two days!), most is still there so they last a longgggg time. I believe they have 80 scents and they smell incredible! Try it!!

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!

These products are The Bomb and you totally need them!! But! Here is another reason for you! My friend Amy has a son named Philip. And he's very, very sick and always has been. You can read her wonderful blog HERE. Right now they are trying to raise money for her son's needed operation by selling these awesome Scentsy products!! So PLEASE, if you are going to purchase them, go HERE to do it and help Amy's son in the process. They are so worthy of your help!!!! Thank you so much in advance!!

Great Tip #2
Keep your Work Space organized!!

Remember when I last showed you my "office" pictures? No? OK, then go here first. So.....yeah....my collection of card making supplies and tools and miscellaneous STUFF has kind of grown. A little. OK, A LOT!!!! So it was time to expand the whole operation and required new ideas for storage. Nothing quite makes me as happy as shopping for storage/organization stuff!! Especially if it is as pretty as it is functional. Talk about win/win!!! So I give you......
...my lovely Michael's CLEARANCE find of "Parisian" cloth covered storage boxes!!!
Remember this wardrobe closet? When I started out (just shy of three months ago!!), everything fit into this closet. With lots of room to spare. LOL! Yeah, not so much anymore. Now it holds all my stamp sets, my solid color cardstock, and two small "do-dads" drawer sets. That's it! It's not my fault though. These things breed like rabbits!!!! At night. When I'm sleeping! Totally beyond my control!!
This super smart idea came from Rachel. I went to HER craft room (OMG!! I wanna live there!! She's got SO.MUCH.WICKED.COOL STUFF!!!!) and she was working one of these beauties. So I totally copied her. Hey, there is no shame in my copy-cat game!!!! These things are so inexpensive (like $6!! at Walmart), and yet hold a ton of crapola crafting supplies and still look neat! I know people who use these in their kids room or bathrooms with limited counter space! I love it when awesomeness is cheap!!!
And this is the overflow. I'm sure eventually (like next month, lmao!) my entire closet will look like this, but for now it's just a couple of things sitting on a white trunk. It doesn't look like much, but the bottom two drawer EACH hold a metric ton (by weight) of paper stacks. They were on sale at Jo-Ann's and I had a coupon.....'nuff said. Then of course there is punches, ribbon, dies and embossing folders. They fit.....for now...........LOL, for now. But really, can you put a price on happiness and total satisfaction??? Because lemme tell ya, when I walk into this room, I am ONE HAPPY QUEEN!!!!

I like the closet door idea...Hmmmm. I wish I could pull that one off. We don't have much for closet room to begin with, but I might have to keep that one in mind for the future.

Great Ideas ~ Love em!

my goodness you have been busy! Are those cassette tapes in that closet? time to switch to CDs.

Our Star Wars eggs looked ridiculous. They basically just gave us egg dye and stickers! Egg kits aren't what they used to be. But I am going to post those soon, prob. tomorrow night.

My fruiti sushi didn't work out. The recipe is simple enough, however I screwed it up! I'll send you the recipe tomorrow night too. Here's a tip: don't put them in the fridge to firm them up, because then the chocolate solidifies! I'm such a blonde.

why does my blog hate you? you couldn't comment?

First off, I LOVE LOVE LOVE scentsy. My whole house smells so good. They have so many different scents. I have a little monthly scentsy budget to keep stocked on the smells. My kids LOVE skinny dippin. I love sunkissed citrus, and in the fall the grovenclove makes your whole house smell like gingerbread is cooking. It is so wonderful! I most consistently use the coconutlemongrass and the cashmere (even though they are not necessarily my very most favorite but I like them and they last a long time).

Also, the mirror that looks like a window with the green blinds is so cute! I realize you weren't highlighting it but it looks perfect where it is!

Using the shoe pocket thing to store your stuff behind the door is a GREAT idea!

You've inspired me to organize...I'm going to check Scentsy out. I'm terrified of candles and fire b/c we live in South Texas, which is dry as a bone. But I always envy how nice they make a house smell! This could work...

My plasters take up a hallway closet right now. I have to be very careful as they tend to take over much more than that when I get into painting form. In fact, I have about $20 of little items on the kitchen table that I just bought because I was able to get them for so cheap. I may have to take a dandelion break from my sites to get them all done.

Those cube things sound cool. Did you also know that you can take some essential oil (your fave scent), put it on a cotton ball and rub it on a light bulb? Then, each time you turn on the light, you get you fave scent in the room. The cheap way, I know, but I can't have extra little gadgets hanging around, lest The Diva get a hold of them.

I will have to get one of those clear plastic door hangers for my postage stamp sized bathroom.

And the only important thing in the whole world is for you (as a queen) to be happy! You are such an awesome organizer! That's how you get away with having so much stuff, it doesn't look like a lot when it's all neatly packed away, lol.
