Something New!

Two on Tuesday with Blogging Mama!

It's time for another addition of Two on Tuesday! This week's theme is music so I hope everyone will participate. If you're not familiar with ToT here's what we do. On Tuesday I post two questions, two thoughts, two of something. I encourage you to add your own 'two' in the comments or on your own site. If you add it to your site please link back to me, feel free to snag the nifty button below and leave a comment so I can stop by and check it out!

On with today's Two -
#1 What song (or lyrics from a song) best describes your life? It can be something that fits your mood right now or just a song you like as well. Make sure to tell me why it fits you!
AND
#2 What's the best concert you've ever been to? What made it memorable? If you've never been to a concert tell me what group you'd like to see.

#1 Katrina & The Waves
Walking on Sunshine!!
I so totally love this song and it used to be mine and Alex's song when she was younger. I even called the local radio station and dedicated it to her so it would be playing on the bus ride home once! I triple dog dare you not to smile and feel uplifted from this song!!!!

#2 Heart - Bad Animals Tour 1987
There was once this guy who really liked me, and I really liked Heart! He got tickets and we went "together". That was an AWESOME concert!!!! Poor guy.....I'm sure his heart has mended by now, right??? LOL!

Go on over to visit Blogging Mama to play too!!

I love Chumbawamba "I get knocked down" My DH and I love this song. It doesn't matter what happens you get knocked down, but you get up again.

I went to a Rick Springfield concert with my best buds in high school... I love me some Rick...

I have SO many songs that describe my life, I can't pick just one. I am a song-a-holic! LOL!

I absolutely LOVE Rick Springfield, as I see Lori above me, mentioned too! I have seen him several times in the last few years and he ROCKS!!!

I used to be a big Dave Matthews Band junkie, and saw many of their concerts, all over the country!

Hmm...right now, I'd probably have to say it's Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying". The older I get, the more I want to get out of life!

Best concert, huh? Well, brace yourself, but I'd have to say it was when I saw Shaun Cassidy at the age of 15...I was in love with him BIG TIME!

I'm drawing a blank for songs but my most memorable concerts were The Jackson's reunion, U2 and The Cure all at Dodger Stadium.

I did a post on this quite a while back, but the lyrics from the Rascal Flatts song "here" definitely describes an aspect of my life. I haven't been to many concerts. But they put on a good one.

Not a fan of the first one, but I LOVE Heart..one of my favorite bands...EVER!

#1 A song that fits me right now? Hmmm...

(I'm a) Bitch by Meredith Brooks. Here are my favorite parts...

I’m a bitch, I’m a lover
I’m a child, I’m a mother
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I’m your hell, I’m your dream
I’m nothin’ in between
You know, you wouldn’t want it any other way

Just when you think
You got me figured out
The season's already changin’
I think it’s cool, you do what you do
And don’t try to change me

I’m a bitch, I’m a lover
I’m a child, I’m a mother
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I’m your hell, I’m your dream
I’m nothin’ in between
You know, you wouldn’t want it any other way

I’m a bitch, I’m tease
I'm a goddess on my knees
When you're hurt
When you suffer
I'm your angel undercover
I've been numb
I'm revived
Can't say I'm not alive
You know I wouldn't want it any other way

#2 Best concert? Rick Springfield, of course! The one in '93 where I got on stage and was able to talk to him/get an autograph and picture afterward. Oh, yeah...and a second kiss and hug...THAT'S an awesome concert, my friend!

01) This one was hard to pick because there are several that spoke to me during that one decade. This one spoke the loudest though and is always the one I play first when those feelings start to come up again:

"Fighter"

[Spoken:]
After all that you put me through,
You think I'd despise you,
But in the end I wanna thank you,
'Cause you've made me that much stronger

Well I thought I knew you, thinkin' that you were true
Guess I, I couldn't trust called your bluff time is up
Cause I've had enough
You were there by my side, always down for the ride
But your joy ride just came down in flames cause your greed sold me out in shame

After all of the stealing and cheating you probably think that I hold resentment for you
But uh uh, oh no, you're wrong
Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do, I wouldn't know
Just how capable I am to pull through
So I wanna say thank you
Cause it

[Chorus:]
Makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

Never saw it coming, all of your backstabbing
Just so you could cash in on a good thing before I'd realize your game
I heard you're going round play, the victim now
But don't even begin feeling I'm the one to blame
Cause you dug your own grave
After all of the fights and the lies cause you're wanting to haunt me
But that wont work anymore, no more,
It's over
Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture
I wouldn't know how to be this way now and never back down
So I wanna say thank you
Cause it

[Chorus]

How could this man I thought I knew
Turn out to be unjust so cruel
Could only see the good in you
Pretend not to know the truth
You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself
Through living in denial
But in the end you'll see
YOU-WONT-STOP-ME

I am a fighter and I
I ain't gonna stop
There is no turning back
I've had enough

[Chorus]

You thought i would forget
But I remembered
Cause i remembered
I remembered
You thought i would forget
I remembered
Cause i remembered
I remembered

[Chorus]

02) There are lots of great bands I'd love to see. Heart's one, Benetar's another but I wouldnt be true to my online nick if I didnt name Styx as the one I'd like to see. :D (although Blades/Shaw would be an AWESOME substitute)

I heart Heart! Hahaha!

Best concert was last years Taste of Chaos with Avenged Sevenfold & Atreyu. I've been to several good ones though.
