Charter....how do I detest thee???

Why is my internet so expensive??? WHEN IT DOESN'T WORK?!?!?!? Ohmygosh I'm sooooo sooooo sick of Charter!!!!! They are the only contractors allowed on post (yes folks, that would be a monopoly!), so we have Charter, or nothin' - which is basically the same thing only the former is alot more expensive and frustrating. We finally, after months of complaining, got a tech out here today. OK great. Only after he replaces the modem which we freaking told them for months was defective, the techie doesn't bother to FINISH the installation. So guess what? It doesn't work! More phone calls, and "accidental hangups" on their end, we finally get "help" in finishing the install ourselves. Eventually. Because the tech is busy on another call. And only one is alloted for this area. Because the Earth would shift off it's axis and spin into another dimension should this stinkin' company actually provide actual customer service!!!!!!!!! But they don't care because they know we have no choice. How's that for craptastic?? *rant over*

I have Charter too. They are good when they are up and running.

I hear ya!That's how it was with Time Warner. I finally got so fed up I switched service. Of cpurse the new service didn't set up our Internet, so I still have Time Warner.
What's with these companies?!

Dont even get me started on Charter... we just switched our phone and internet to Charter for a BUNDLE.. which is cheaper than Verizon BUT they screwed up the installation and the internet seems a bit slow while I am online and Hubby is playing his game... ughhh

We have Time Warner Cable and I cannot even begin to explain how much I hate them. Our internet is always going out and they never reimburse us for the outages. So frustrating!

CHARTER SUCKS THE BIG KAHUNA'S WINKIE WINK!!! I have AT&T DSL...it aint great but they gave me $150 for signing up and a free modem.

Charter wanted $150 for the install. CABLE SUCKS! I have Dish Network for TV...they are starting to suck too.

I feel your pain...my browser shuts down on me several times a day and has for almost 3 months. The IP says it's not them, Google says it's not them, Flock says it's not them...WELL WHO IS THE PROBLEM THEN?

Customer service SUCKS in this country!

We're on Comcast here. Most days it's not bad but every few months we have days of outages where it keeps kicking. It particularly sucks because we have it all bundled so if one thing goes so does everything else.

We have Charter too. It sucks bigtime. They must know me by name there because they always transfer me to the same Philipino lady(the only one who will talk to me)...Theres one trick I learned...when you call them next time, tell the Philipino person to transfer you to the "Customer Retention" department and complain to them. Threaten them with switching to satellite internet or Verizon.

I have Comcast for everything here. For my cable, I had no choice. Comcast is the only cable company for our complex, unless you go with a sat. Unfortunately, my apt faces the wrong direction so I can't get sat. I HAVE to have cable, so I HAVE to have Comcast. I used to have AT&T DSL, but switched to Comcast when I got the cable switched.

My only problem with the cable is that often on Friday nights, there's so much traffic, that my connection is slower than dial up.
