Tough day!

I'm REALLY struggling today!! I just can't seem to focus at all and I'm all twittery and jittery. BLAH!!!!!! No need to worry about me falling off the wagon though - I have no smokes in the house and no way to get any either, lol! And my smoking neighbors wouldn't give me any even if I begged them to. Not that I begged or anything. I'm just saying. I do not want to smoke. That's not the point. I just can't seem to get my body/brain on board with this drastic new change. To the ex-smokers out there........please tell me (or lie to me!) that it's going to get alot better really, really soon. Okie dokie???

I have heard that Blogger is having issues again (big surprise!!), but losing 10 peeps from my Followers List is really making me sad too! So if you went missing, please come back!!!

Its day 2 right? You are doing great. The fact that you got rid of all the temptations is a really good thing(but you already knew that!). I'm so excited for you, keep up the good work! =)

Hang in there! I was a cold turkey quitter once about...well...a long time ago. It went away. They say that smoking is of course a habit, and to quit a habit, you need to replace it with another one. Also, not sure what you smoked, but when I'm work, I have halls cough drops to get through the day. I think this may only work for menthol smokers though.

You just keep on keeping on! You can do this. It's just mind over matter.

You will get through this. I had my last cigarette on 12/31/06. My daughter asked me to stop smoking because she wanted me to "last a long time". There will be tough times. Just remember that you have plenty of people supporting you. Keep busy, try to something else to focus on. I noticed I smoked to make myself take a break. It was the only time I was not "doing" something.

You are doing great Jeannie!! :-) Woo-Hoo!

my hubs is trying to quit dipping right now...

a psychologist told me that the first 48 hours is physical (from the niccotine) and if you get past that point its all mental. i'm very proud of you for making the attempt.

if you're a military wife and a mother you have to be a strong woman - i know you can do it!!

You CAN do it!!! You've got all these personal cheerleaders rooting you on!

Yeah, I have seen some blogs announcing that they lost followers over the week-end. I think I lost 3 or so, but I don't have that many. April Showers said she lost 10 as well. Is that a special number for Blogger/Google? LOL

Keep the faith, hun. Get some carrot sticks, gum, celery sticks...anything to give you the hand-mouth satisfaction you get from smoking. Try deep meditative breaths, etc. I have heard that this works, but it never did for me.

I even got hypnotized. TWICE! I have tried Wellbutrin (I had panic attacks with it), the patch (I smoked wile wearing it), nothing ha seemed to work for me.

I am just a hard nut to crack, I guess! =P

I lost one, but I checked a friend's blog, and the same person is missing from her list of followers, so I don't know if it's blogger or that person. (I won't name who it is, that would be rude.)

I've never been a smoker, but I hope you get through this, just stay focused on the positives and your long term goal of being around when Bella's all grown with kids of her own.

I'm not a smoker so I don't have any advice for you but I did want to say how proud I am of you! You are doing awesome! Does chewing gum or sucking mints or candy help?

I checked and I'm still a follower, I won't leave you!!!

the 1st 10 days were the worst for me. then by week 4 i actually noticed i wasn't even thinking about them. that was my problem was obsessing about being obsessed with them. i would sit and think for hours about how i DIDN'T want one, which made me want one even more. So crazy. yes you can do this, yes you will do this, yes it gets easier. OOHHH and guess what? ice cream and sweets actually taste better after a few weeks :)

OMG you go girl!!!! You can do it!! If I can do it anyone can do it. I just looked at my quit smoking meter and I have avoided 2656 cigarettes. WE ROCK!!

Yeah I know.... I have been MIA. I am back I think. We will see. Deffinately will be reading blogs and keeping in touch. I don't know how much posting I will do.

Talk to you soon. Keep it up Jeannie. I know you can do it!

Jeannie you can do it! I have never been thru this, so I don't have any great advice. But just keep blogging. Get your mind off it.

I lost a follower from the blogger mishap too. But I know it wasn't intentional. She will come back when she realizes what happened. But the one I lost over the weekend, now that was an ouchie. The thing is I still follow this particular blog. I don't want to click the stop following button, because I feel bummed when it happens to me. Oh well, it is what it is:)

hi hunny pie...poor you. i just want to give you a few tips that have worked for friends of mine.

EVERYTIME you eat something (anything even a cracker) go and brush your teeth and finish with CINNAMON mouth wash. something about food particals that set off "bells" making ya want to smoke...and the cinnamon helps too.

also i heard pink grapefruit helps when you are having a craving...

i will add you to my prayers...you deserve to kick this and have extra years with your babies!
