THE “Y” CHROMOSOME HAS SPOKEN!!!

Hello everyone! I was informed on Sunday that Jeannie would like me to do a post on her blog. I was VERY surprised at this offering…I would not have guessed she would ever let me do this. She said I could write ANYTHING I WANTED!!!! (Evil grin) MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! But seriously, folks…

About two years ago, Jeannie started this blog. It was an easy way for me to look at videos and pictures while deployed to Iraq. I cannot put into words how important this was for me. A lifeline to my family is what got me through those tough 15 months. After a rough day of fighting the good fight, I would go to my hooch and log on and see what was going on at the Kupsh house. I would spend hours watching videos of Bella, and I will be the first to admit, probably cried a lot too. But this blog was invaluable to me. Now, after being home for about eight months, I see how happy (see title of blog) people are on here. It has transformed from a medium to keep me in touch with them to what it is today, a sweet-ass place to hang out.

Oh yes, life is NOT all roses, all the time here. I could certainly list some things…..

….OH WHY NOT!!!

THINGS I WISH JEANNIE WOULD STOP DOING:
1. Making it seem like she is not worth anything. This is entirely FALSE. I will tell you that the amount of things she does around here…HOLY CRAP!! No salary can compare. I mean, just her cooking alone…..WHOO HOOOO!!!!
2. Putting herself down. Sometimes she does not realize what a wonderful woman she is. If it weren’t for her, nothing around here would EVER get done.
3. Stop calling me a hero. Trust me I AM FAR FROM THAT. The heroes are the ones that didn’t come home.
4. Smoking.

OK, now for another list…..

TOP THINGS I WISH I HAD:
1. The time back that I lost with 3 deployments to Iraq.
2. A golf membership (yeah, I am really pushing the envelope with this one, but it is MY LIST!!)
3. The next rank (SFC board meets in February and releases its results in March, also my warrant officer packet will be submitted in April)
4. A college degree (currently enrolled in college, one class at a time)
5. More money (who doesn’t?)
6. Better abs

Oh WAIT I HAVE YET ANOTHER LIST!!! HAHAHAHA

THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT JEANNIE:
1. She thinks that people with their second toe bigger than the big toe are freaks.
2. She snorts sometimes if she laughs hard enough.
3. She is the only one that is allowed to make a grocery list.
4. She calls Cheese Puffs, Cheese Doodles.
5. She’s not a control freak, but she always wants to be in charge. Of course, she’s a woman, so she IS in charge!
6. She is better than she lets on at Guitar Hero.
7. She owns every Danielle Steele book, and isn’t ashamed of it.
8. She knows how to shake her booty.
9. She was a Senior Airman in the Air Force.

Well, that is about it. I hope you enjoyed my little slice of the bloggy world. Sometimes Y chromosomes have to say their piece. I hope you enjoyed my post, and I am pretty sure it is a one-time thing! Peace out!!

Thomas, aka Jeannie's hot piece of ass!!!

Update: This is Jeannie again, lol! Tattooed Minivan Mom came up with this crazy brilliant plan to have the hubbys post. Go see HER husband's post and links to everyone else's. This.Should.Be.Interesting.

First off. Cheese puffs ARE cheese doodles! And every one knows that people with their second toe bigger than the big toe ARE freaks. Hehehe!

Great post, it was nice to meet Mr. Jeannie!

Gteat lists and I think all service members feel that way when called a hero. My husband doesn't like being called one and says he was doing his job. But from a military wife point of veiw you are a hero there are things you guys have seen and done over there we can not imagine and probably would not be able to getthrough with our sanity intact. So let her keep this one!

LOVIN' IT! I asked my 'Y' Chromosome to do a post on my blog and he has yet to do it... says he's still thinking of what to right, lmao.
I too make the grocery list for the household, I ask for input, but not much...I also control the coupon book...
I also snort and sometimes cry if I laugh hard enough:))
Thanks for the lists - now I know more about the Queenie Jeannie!
Have a great day!

I really enjoyed your lists but I agree with Sandy. Cheese puffs are cheese doodles. And Jeannie is one of the nicest bloggers I know. So tell that girl to quit smoking. (I quit 7 months ago and if I can do it, so can she!)

Hi Y Chromosome!

Very, very nice to meet you! Anyone who uses the word "sweet-ass" as an adjective is A-ok in my book!

Great post, love the lists and people who have the 2nd toe bigger than the 1st toe are definitely freaks.

Hi Mr. Happy, nice to hear from you. Great post and good luck with the SFC Board. Hope you get what you want, including Jeannie smoking. Jeannie, those things are expensive. Use your money at the Etsy Shop.

Nothing wrong with Danielle Steele.

Hey Thomas, great post.

I too wish Jeannie had been successful when she was trying to quit smoking - hopefully she will be able to do that in 2009.

I've told you this before (well ok I told Jeannie to relay it to you) we all consider you a hero - yes you did come back (Thank God) but you gave us so much and sacrificed so much more than we could ever know. So Thank you for everything that you have done and will continue to do as you serve Our Country.

Oh and even this Yankee knows that Cheese Puffs ARE Cheese Doodles ........ and thats a fact!

Great post!! While my hubby was deployed we would record little clips, put them on CD's & send them back & forth...they were priceless to me as well. AND my husband was able to complete his 4yr degree in 6yrs...it's possible, don't give up!! And he just started a Master's program...slowly but surely ;o)
Thanks for letting your "hot piece of ass" grace us with his presence!!

Stopping by from Tattooed Minivan Mom! First of all..thank both of you for your service to our country! My hubs was Air Force before I met him and I don't know what I'd have done if we were married at the time!

Thomas,

Good job! I was a little worried when I heard about this, but clearly you love your wife & family (and them you) & that is evident in your post. I love your honesty. And ALL soldiers are heroes in my book. A soldier that can admit to crying is a rare but good thing.

Your lists were funny. And cheese puffs ARE cheese puffs (I even have southern roots & I say that). And tell Jeannie that my daughter & I will be slinking away to the "freak corner" with our long second toes. :P LOL WE ARE NOT FREAKS! WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS!! LMAO Sorry, had to do that. I always wanted to use that line! :)

So might "The Y Chromosome" become a regular feature? I was laughing my butt off.

And Jeannie, I smoke too. I have been trying to quit for a while. It's hard & it sucks, bad. Someday I will do it....just not today.

HUGS!

Hi Jeannie's piece of hot Y Chromosome Thomas!! Very nice to meet you. This was a great entry and would make a lovely start to a blog space of your very own! I suspect you'd have several built in followers from this blog if you did.

Thomas, awesome lists! So nice to hear from the male portion of Jeannie's life. Cheese puffs are cheese puffs.

You may not think you're a hero, but you are a true hero in our eyes.

I would love to see more posts from you in the future, if Jeannie will allow it.

ha, i loved this!! Jeanie, ok so you think I'm a freak? because my second toe is bigger. but guess, what you are right! I am a freak and I like to get my freak on, too. So, I am totally owning it.
I think your hubby is so sweet and truly recognizes all that you do, either that or he really wants a golf membership that and you are a hot peice of A! Like there was any doubt, uhhhh duhhhh! LOL

I think that it is a great story about how this blog came to be, and I am happy that Jeannie kept it up after your safe return home!

Enough of the nicey nice now...I am freak. My 2nd toe (which I affectionately call the index toe)is way longer than my big toe! Not BIGGER just longer. Some people say that it is an indication of pure genius, but you know...it probably is.

Isn't a cheese doodle a mouse turd?

Great post Thomas. I think this should be a regularly scheduled program. You give us the scoop on Jeannie! And as for the hero thing (I won't make a deal of it or anything buuuuttttt...) you didn't have to sign on the dotted line, but you did. That means something :)

Melodie said...

Having a second toe longer than the first is a sign of GENIUS. People who aren't so lucky like to call us names because they are just jealous! (Love ya, Jeannie!)
