Dear Readers,

Dear Readers,
I want to wish you all a joyous, safe and merry Christmas! I also want to share something that is dear to my heart. We live in greatest country in the world - the land of the free, because of the brave!!! There are many service men and women who are currently deployed around the world, keeping freedom's touch lit for all of us. It is a difficult life they freely choose to lead, but it's especially hard to be away from family and friends during this time of year. It is also difficult for the families they leave behind. As an Army wife, I have had to spend two Christmases separated from my husband. It's hard enough to be apart 12-15 months at a time, but you also have that invisible threat of........."what if"......a storm cloud that we don't dwell upon, yet is a constant, niggling worry that becomes a part of our daily lives while our soldiers are away and in harm's way.
I would ask you to take a moment to truly understand and appreciate the sacrifices these brave people make, so that those of us back home can live in peace and safety. Please offer up your heartfelt prayers for their safety, and for the spirit of Christmas to reach their hearts while they endeavor to complete the missions assigned to them. I would also ask that you watch the following videos. I'm not trying to make you sad or cry, or to bring you "down". But these videos express what I'm trying to say!

Thank you and God bless us all!!!

I was coming back home on Sunday (12\21), landed in JFK. We went to pick up luggage and there was these 3 little girls with Santa hats on, their Mom, and posters that said "Welcome Home Daddy" All the sudden, a solider walked down the escalator and everyone started clapping. It made me cry. Those little girls were so excited to see him.

Just thought I'd share. :o)

Merry Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas Jeanie! I am so happy you posted about this. There is something dearly special about those men and women that choose to serve our country. I'm always so proud of them and the sense of pride each one of them carries proudly on their shoulders.

OMG, I've only watched the first video so far, it brought tears to my eyes. I'll have to watch the other two at home, cause I'll be blubbering like a baby before they're finished. Thanks for posting these!
